how do you do high school for credits? our homeschool board only does online teacher-led, I really wish we could do parent-led for credits and stay with our homeschool board. I do not see videos on canadian's homeschooling highschool for credits and a diploma - please do a video!

We are in the early elementary age. We don't grade individual assignments. We have an overall idea of how she is doing and only assign report cards every 9 weeks per state regulations but they are only Satisfactory, Progressing, Needs improvement, etc. I love planning and sometimes write my own curriculum. I'm always thinking 1 year ahead.

I’m glad to see others thinking and planning far ahead too. I’ve already been researching curriculum for the 2025-2026 school year. ❤

I make worksheets from the workbooks to reuse both books.
I spend more time planning and prepping before the week and it helps so much during the week. I'm also using the Marvel planner and I check off assignments as they are completed. I love la kits for Apologia too. Every night I set out boxes for the kids with their work and a daily checklist. They know exactly what they need to do and can choose what order to do everything in. They often wake up at different times and usually before me so they start early and it helps our day to flow smoothly. Things like spelling and fix it grammar are done before I even make breakfast. We've been doing read-a-louds later in the evening and they are ready to settle down and listen.

How long do you take to plan ahead and get things organized? I feel like I never have enough time to do that. .too busy on the weekend

@@zmommy4044 when I plan, I usually do 1 or 2 subjects and do several weeks at once so I'm not trying to flip back and forth between books. Then another day I'll do a couple more subjects... It's only a few minutes at a time. My worksheets are in folders by week so I only need to pick up that one folder for the week when I set up the work each night.
