Why are Kindle generations so confusing?

Back in 2017 I was riding the train and saw someone using a tiny Kindle. I immediately looked it up, discovered it was the Voyage. I bought a refurbished one and haven't looked at another Kindle since. I love love love my Voyage. Great video!!

just spoke to somebody at amazon and they confirmed a new kindle oasis is being released before the end of February so if you're in the market for one, hold off and keep checking. I hope its everything we have hoped for!

I accidentally have 3 Kindle Fire 10 tablets because of this. Bought the 11th generation tablet, but accidentally bought the 9th gen protection case, and 7th gen screen protector. Ended up buying a 9th and 7th gen tablet, a 11th and 7th gen case, and a 11th and 9th gen screen protector. I don't even know why there isn't an 8th or 10th gen version but I am glad I was only stuck with the 3.

Love my oasis, but definitely would pick up a newly upgraded Oasis if released. Only if the scribe allowed for direct annotation on the page, it would be a game-changer.

Love your videos, but have totally given up now in ever thinking Amazon are going to launch a new Oasis. Such a shame, but think its time to look elsewhere for a new e-reader.

Such a missed opportunity on their part. If they released a new one two years ago with USB-C, I wouldn't be complaining as much today. But the current one is just ridiculous for the price.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Out of all the Kindle, the Oasis was the most appealing to me. But alas, I am not waiting for them to update it. So no Kindle for me!

It's possible. The last one came out in 2021, so we're approaching the time where it's due for a refresh. However, Amazon has been very unpredictable lately.
