Thank you for going into more detal. I still cannot do this pose. Never. As many videos as I've seen and as many times I've tried....still cannot do it. My chin gets about 1/2 inch off the ground, and that's my limit.

Ok so if you're only supposed to use your core to lift and not arms, is it normal to not be able to go up all the way and straighten your arms?

Yes. It will however get easier with time. With consistency your core will strengthen and you'll be able to get higher.

hey man, ive been having an issue. I keep my hips on ground, engage my core all that. But i feel like when i press my feet into the ground, it hurts my back. puts more pressure. Can i do it without the pressing feet into ground? its uncomfortable

Edge - I think it's too hard for me to tell what's going on just via a response here. You shouldn't push your feet into the ground if you feel pain, but you should also understand that that pain you're experiencing is an indicator of a weakness. It could be your core, your erector spinae, your hips.. Sorry I can't give you a more specific answer, but I hope that explains something.

@@ManFlowYoga i do have flexibility issues which i been working on a lot last 2 weeks. i dont push too hard into the cobra, but maybe its cause my body isnt flexible enough so pressing the feet is just putting more pressure. what you think about using my feet once my body is more flexible in the pose?

@@edgetransit3320 hey man when you push your feet into the ground it puts more stretch on your hip flexors, when they are inflexible, instead of lengthening they will contract against the extra stretch. So you need to pull you chest forward with your arms so you spine moves away from your feet not very high off the ground, then when you start to push into your feet doing it very slowly and gradually so that you feel it to the from of your hips and not your back (which the hips attach to). If you start to feel it in your back you are just going too far too fast. Peace and love

Yup, just keep doing it. Your body will adjust eventually. You've got to push through it.
