Honestly I don’t blame Furuhata for rejecting Hanamiya’s invitation. Hanamiya is the most popular girl at school and you don’t have the popular girl at school suddenly talking to you all of a sudden. He thought she was after his money just like Hina but she wasn’t. Hanamiya helped Furuhata get over Hina and they became a lovely couple at the end. Iroha was the MVP. I’m actually surprised Hina didn’t start spreading rumors about shiro right after he revealed her cheating. I’m actually curious as to why the entire class was worried about shiro, part of me thought it was cuz he was the son of a doctor and had money but somehow it didn’t seem like it. Believe it or not, yesterday I was reading the invincible School hierarchy in Japan which shows who is top of the hierarchy and who is not and the entire fucking thing is so stupid, you will scratch your brain. You need to beautiful, fit and smart (rich is extra point) to be in top of it. Which you can work at. Break and disagree with rules, you will be bullied. That's why no one was concerned about MC and people think about Hina. Plus Hina was teased and made fun of because he was dating a plain guy.

I like how they had Shiro being cautious after he was burned by Hina. He didn't act like a fool for his tool when Iroha asked him out. The emotional wounds were deep and fresh, so he was cautious about trusting girls after that. It showed he grew wiser and more mature from his heartbreak, at the same rate not too jaded to shut people out completely. While this is just a story, this does happen in real life. Being wealthy, or from a wealthy family is not all it's cracked up to be. You never know whether people are with you for you or the money. Sadly in Shiro's case, Hina used him for the money. Iroha however was the complete package. She was beautiful, sweet, sincere and compassionate. She knew Shiro was hurting from the breakup and didn't force things. She knew he had trust issues due to what Hina did, so she worked on earning his confidence. Her efforts paid off. They both won in the end. As Shiro said. Hina breaking up with him was the best thing that ever happened to him. It was like the garbage putting itself out.

I actually feel for Shiro on this one regarding trust and betrayal too. Even if they did get back together in some distant NONEXISTENT timeline she already BROKE his heart and burnt his TRUST. Forgiveness is one thing but building up trust from such a betrayal and heartbreak would be an uphill effort for Hina an who can say if she really has changed and will be faithful in the SECOND chance and will repeat her sin especially after he CAUGHT HER IN THE ACT OF CHEATING RED HANDED I mean really though . Who needs an enemy with a “girlfriend” like Hina? I feel sorry for the character who genuinely falls for her. Iroha for the win.

This has happened to me in a similar way, I was going out with someone but it only lasted an week after that happened the person I was dating ending up dating someone the day after we broke up. A good reminder that judging someone entirely by their race, gender, or any other characteristic of their being instead of as an individual is literally the definition of "prejudice". Don't let a single bad experience with an individual lead you into the destructive mentality of thinking that everyone that shares a characteristic of that person, such as "all women" or "all Americans", also shares all aspects of their personality. It's necessary to evaluate people as individuals, even if -- ESPECIALLY IF -- you have a bad experience with someone. It was very wrong-headed of Shiro to assume that all girls use guys for money because he had a bad experience with Hina; in reality, Hina is the outlier, as the vast majority of people are legitimately good people, even if they aren't perfect.

Better to be cautious than naive. Everyone does things for their own self interest in the end. All relationships are in other words transactional. For example the reason for friends is to satisfy boredom and potential help for future problems, having a wife, makes living with expenses like houses easier and a child as a bonus to ensure lineages and assistance during old age, everything requires something in return which usually is not money but other things which is still considered transactional.
