Seji have you read Gintama? I honestly love that wacky series so much and it's still being serialized in JUMP. It makes me laugh until my sides hurt. The anime is just as funny.

No worries! I know how to read katakana and hiragana and know about 300-350 kanji ;)

I am trying to learn hiragana right now and then I plan on doing katakana and kanji, I want to get the white rabbit kana flash cards but they are a little expensive, sorry if this bothers you but do you think they are worth it? and what helps you memorize the characters? I use mnemonics to help me but are there better methods ?
