I'm so glad that there's a channel that talks about old school shoujo, it's such good stuff. Have you read any Keiko Takemiya? She's also done some work related to Ryu Mitsuse, she illustrated a manga series he wrote called Andromeda Stories.

For sure, it's so much fun to dive into! :) And As for Takeymiya, I haven't read any of her work yet, but I do have quite a bit of her manga lying around (like Terra e...) -- I did watch the Andromeda Stories a while back, looking to get a copy of that soon :)

Some of these seemed pretty cool. Also, and I can relate as I created Olympic Anime’s for a passion project.

Your vintage manga are so cool! Lately I've been very interested in the history of manga publications, and earlier this year I bought a copy of Lemon People and a copy of Manga Burikko from Mandarake as a birthday gift to myself. It finally arrived here last week, together with the Arina Tanemura Collection artbook for Full Moon wo Sagashite, which was in my wishlist since I was like, 11 years old, more than a decade ago hahaha. I don't know Japanese but I really want to learn the language someday because I want to be able to read all those old underground publications and learn more about where otaku culture came from.

The 60s shojo art rocks! True, the Italian and German editions are always so cool and much cheaper! I only speak English and Polish, but I might buy some Italian Sailor Moon volumes just for the sake of having them in some physical format 😅

Nice to see someone else who owns Fire! I have the 1998 Akita Bunko Edition (Which is a nicer three volume edition), but each edition contains their own different freebies. Does your edition of Fire contain a side story named Summer of Simon? Mine contains the story Blue Light Illusion.

Thank you!! Your platform on KZbin is inspiring and comforting at the same time
