I do like the anime fight much more than the manga because it makes Mahoraga seem much more like a threat. Him literally regenerating from being turned into paste by Sukuna's slashes, changing sizes mid fight, boxing the slashes, it makes his adaptation seem way cooler.

I see it as the opposite. In the anime it makes it seem like Mahoroga is a punching bag when in the manga Sukuna knew that playing around with Mahoraga was a bad idea

I for one, adored the anime fight not just because of the spectacle but how it was able to make Sukuna look stronger but still cautious around the weaker, but potentially stronger Mahoraga. He's a lot more playful, but when Mahoraga lands his hits or marches through the Malevolent Shrine, he is visibly shocked and while not fearing for his life, understands he mustn't continue stalling. In the Manga, Mahoraga just fucking dies.

​@@tewlysanchez2213 Glad you brought this up. I have mixed feelings. I can appreciate the flair and how overwhelming it makes him, power wise. But I also feel like it traded off a clear sense of urgency that the wheel represented. The manga left me with the idea that even Sukuna has to beat Maho in as few moves as possible because he doesn't play around. Manga Mahoraga felt kind of like Jason who scales up to you in a couple moves if you can't kill him fast enough.

ngl it felt overdone, loved the animation it’s a masterpiece yeah, but it didn’t feel very fitting for JJK. Felt like I was watching two people purposely wreck a city rather than fight. At some points the quality also looks really REALLY unfinished just for the sake of having cool animation.

I interpreted the sequence of Mahoraga punching the air as him testing the possible outcomes for his attack, because of the way it's shown, and the fact that there is a sound of the wheel turning right before he finally executes an attack on Sukuna. Also, the background is black and Mahoraga is highlighted during Mahoraga punching the air but, as soon as he actually tries attacking Sukuna, the background goes back to being detailed and Mahoraga becomes unhighlighted.

I interpreted as their moving so fast that things appear to be floating. Kinda like the chimera ant arc in HxH where we get there perspective but the narrator reminds us that the things they’re doing are happening literal seconds or minutes apart. Which to me put more weight to the damage there doing bc the human bystanders literally don’t even see it coming and to them it would be like the city just started exploding and falling apart randomly. So fast that there not even aware that there even in a life or death situation.

Personal theory and potential explanation for Sukunas flame arrow. Sukuna has doubles of some parts of his body, the theory you made a video on says that this is his conjoined twin (potentially yuji). What if sukuna also had a 2nd cursed technique from having yujis brain conjoined into his too? This second technique wouldve been Sukunas black box. Now what if the conditions of the black box are based off of consumption? Right after Jogos arm is removed before their fight, Jogos arm isnt anywhere near Sukuna on the floor, he probably stretched his body to bite off Jogos arm off screen, putting it in the black box and giving him flame manipulation. He wouldve lost this after eating Angel's arm off, giving him Jacob's ladder and potential resistance to it (Not immunity). This explains why he hasnt used the flame arrow yet as hes unable to use flame manip at all. This 2nd technique of his couldve been Yujis had he been born properly and not conjoined. Yujis technique wouldve been the black box, which explains why hes built for eating cursed objects. That may no longer be the case thanks to Kenjaku changing his birth, but his body is most likely still built to contain and absorb objects with cursed energy in them, ESPECIALLY if theyre parts of his twin brother. This could all be wrong and could be deconstructed in seconds but its a theory i like. Thanks for getting me into theorizing abt this series!

1:46 just to add here, this is the point where mahoraga expanded the target of it's attack. With positive energy, it targeted only cursed spirits but with cursed energy, it targeted everything with cursed energy. And SPOILER ALERT................... With the world cutting slash, it targeted everything before it was unleashed. A lot of people complain that what sukuna did was an asspull. But it will make sense once you pickup the hints.

I think the scene of Sukuna pointing and Mahoraga punching air was visual storytelling and people are taking it too literally. I think it was meant to show this distance in strength/speed between the 2 and Mahorage literally trying to reach him but can't until he adapted to Sukuna's speed. Also I think the image mirrors the famous image of Adam reaching out to God.

The moments when maho is turned to paste happen twice. Once in the additional blu ray scene and again right after the domain. If sukuna opened the fight with either of these attacks, the fight would have ended right there right? If i understand correctly, Sukunas CT became useless the moment he sent out the first slash and it wasnt a 1 shot like the additional blu ray scene or the domain 1 shot scene.

As soon as the wheel turns, mahoraga starts adapting, but he doesn’t become completely immune after one attack. It needs to receive more attacks, nd continue adapting. The wheel has to turn a number of times for him to be completely immune to it. So yeah Mahoraga first adapted to see the attack and then adapted to be able to deflect the attack but it was still cutting him up when it hits. So he was still continuing to adapt, if all the wheels finished turning, then Sukuna’s slash would not even cut him anymore. But Sukuna didn’t wait for that to happen.

I think the reasons cars and the train floated in the air was because Sukuna and Mahoraga were moving at incredible speeds in relation to everything around them This is also supported by the scene where maho was seemingly punching the air, it could simply mean Sukuna started putting more effort hence him being faster than maho at that moment

🤔 probably yes, probably no. The positive energy sword was just made by gege as an excuse to say mahoraga would've one shot sukuna if he was a curse. Gege doesn't really plan much more than what just sounds cool in the moment. Hence, the Mach 3 Naoya scene (and maki catching a bullet inches from her skull which is Mach 50 or more depending on which scaler you believe in.)

Sukuna can heal his heart. He is still healing it, probably maybe even done healing it by now. It’s just taking longer to heal because it’s an attack from the soul split katana. Only someone who knows the outline of their shape can heal an attack like that and it takes longer to heal. But it can definitely be healed.

Todo’ soul shape was changed that’s why he lost the arm it’s not an attack or injury to his soul. Currently we don’t know if the shape can be changed back. But we know a soul attack can be healed. If someone knows the outline of their soul like Sukuna and Yuji (they both know the outline of their soul because they have shared a body) they can heal it with RCT just like a normal injury but it takes longer to heal a soul injury. So Sukuna is healing alright.
