Honestly I think she'd be a lot worse if you built her off skill, like sure a lethal insta kills but it's not like her strength is that bad that double crits wouldn't take most enemies down, I'd rather have a steady supply of 3x damage then the less reliable lethal occasionally

Unironically this ROM is the most fun I’ve had with Fire Emblem in a while, the skills add fun and craziness to the game, the new classes are fun to mess around with, the custom music is catchy and you might recognize some tunes, the Bosses are challenging and some even move towards you and catch you off-guard, descriptions are funny, the Dsnoon and PH Tainting Shenanigans are hilarious, I could go on and on, I can’t wait for Andaron Saga! I rate this ROM 10/5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm glad Shura got rated 5 stars being the first character I ever submitted. The idea behind her was that she would make the glass cannon units a little less squishy and to also buy time for the growth units to get rolling and i'm glad she succeeded at both

I disagree with a lot of the ratings, mainly for the early units, i will now proceed to make a leftist meme about it (keep in mind i always rate my units on Hard Ironman): Cherry: Mangs Rating: 3 / Donlot Rating: 4 Stars She's force deployed with phenomenal to okay availability (lots of time to train and build supports) until either the end of the game, or the start of Farten route, and will be pretty reliable thanks to huge avoid, becoming pretty much unkillable due to insane avoid and good DEF, she then also gets hand axes on hero promo, and has a quick support with the 5 star unit that is Shuumoner. Definitely one of the better units in the rom. Hidolfr: MR: 2 / DR: 3 I personally find his bases to be perfectly serviceable for level 1 (his SPD is on par with Hanakko, and his STR is 4 lower despite being 8 levels lower), and can confirm he is still very much usable at base as far as until the route split. His PRF may be somewhat inaccurate but he joins early enough and has quick enough supports to where you can quickly offset it with supports, levels, and also support skills from other units. You'll end up with a berserker with insane crit, capping STR really quickly. +15 crit from berserker, +20 crit from both his skills, and you suddenly have a capped STR, brave steel axe berserker with 35+ crit (not even factoring in his SKL stat or support bonuses. His mediocre bulk also gets offset somewhat through water/peak terrain later on. Yucca: MR: 2 / DR: 3 I think you're overvaluing Assassinate on Yucca. While it is true she would be a lot better with the old Assassinate procc chance, she's still pretty good. Early join time, quick supports, doubles nearly every enemy for a long while, and will quickly snowball on STR, with 65+% crit through the killing edge, making her able to delete strong enemies pretty quickly with not all that much investment. On top of that she also has thief utility and can get you a multitude of items for your army. Her Bulk also really isn't that bad. Just for the early game i would honestly give her 4 stars, but overall i think 3 is more fair. Sophie: MR: 4 / DR: 2 Sure she has a lot of potential thanks to being a trainee, but her bulk is just non existent. I personally don't really find the light magic skills she has all that useful, and while she has a quick support, so do several other units. She does have a lot of magic, and quick exp gain, so she'll make for an excellent staff bot and hard hitting magical attacker if trained. I normally would give her 3 stars, but what personally puts her down to 2 stars for me is simply the fact she has 4 move. Assuming you're moving at a reasonable pace, you just will have trouble finding times when she can even just get EXP. I normally always give a bit exp to all units before deciding who to really use, but she just wasn't able to get any without the entire army slowing down to a crawl. Ormund: MR: 4 / DR: 5 Agreed with most points, but i feel his RES growth is still pretty high comparatively to most other units, so it's really not as big an issue as you make it out to be. He also has an HP cap of 80 and can easily snipe off mages thanks to his high stats, move and skills. On top of that he also supports shuumoner, and several other good units, and pretty quickly at that. Sam: MR: 2 / DR: 3 His insane avoid, early join time, good quick supports (namely with Shura), Sigrid's Knife usage, and Assassin Promo can turn him into an absolute dodgetank who can also deal a good amount of damage or even just hold out against hordes of enemies on his own. An Angelic robe really goes a long way on him though i have to say. Also the 2nd most fun unit to use in the game apart, only being beaten by Groroth. Amon: MR: 4 / DR: 5 I feel like his good bases across the board and what is effectively +6 DEF/RES and Damage on enemy phase (essentially upping his base STR to 14, and base DEF/RES to 14/9) warrant 5 stars. He'll be one of your best tanks throughout the game, with good damage, and potentially even high move from his promo. Hiccup: MR: 4 / DR: 3 While he is okay at base, i feel like his growths kinda just make him meh as time goes on. Nullify is great, but his bulk ends up being so low that he's always in danger of dying. Sure it's nice archers don't one shot him, but does that really matter all that much when they can just 2 shot him? Flying is still nice, as are his bases, so i think 3 stars is fair. NX: MR: 4 / DR: 5 We both agree he's amazing, but i think his supportive skills, insane Bases, good growths, and quick EXP gain combined with crit boost from halberdier warrants 5 stars. He was always consistently one of my best units. Jack of': Agreed with the rating, i do wanna mention if you earlypromote him at 10, which you can get him to relatively easily through boss kills, he can be a nice mageknight and essentially a mobile staffbot. This will also make him get EXP independently of the enemies and without effectively stealing kill EXP from other units. His stats will be okay, and he can still cap most of them at 10/20. So there is some merit in that in an ironman. Farten: MR: 3 / DR: 2 His bases are pretty meh, his growths are also just okay, and his bulk is not even all that good unless you seriously train him. If it wasn't for the fact he was force deployed, is pretty much forced to get EXP in 5x, can get staves on promo, and has the pursuit sword, i would honestly rate him 1 star. I just didn't find him to be any good, nor any fun to use. Robin: Agreed with the rating. I do wanna add she can easily gain a lot of EXP since she is your best combat unit in 5x, which can really get her going quickly. Subbie: MR: 3 / DR: 4 Celerity, good bases and Canto+ on promo personally bump him up to 4 stars for me. His hit rates are a bit shaky however, and take a bit to get going. He also seems to always be just short of one rounding before promo, but maybe that's just me getting unlucky with levels. If those 2 things were fixed, i would say 5 stars. HANAKKO: MR: 5 / DR 4 Her bases are pretty bad and it takes a good while till she can actually steal stuff speed wise. Otherwise definitely a candidate for 5 stars Rath: MR: 3 / DR: 2 While i really like the idea of Rath, she just doesn't really double any enemies, and barely does damage. It just takes her a lot till she starts to get going, and with relatively low growths across the board, she's also a wildcard level wise. She does have a lot of potential though, and i personally still found her quite fun to use. Gen: 3 Stars, same rating as Mangs. I would've rated her 2 stars if not for the fact she can use Sigrid's infinite Knife. Her base speed is just meh, and while her damage output is good, so is the damage output of several other units, who don't waste a million weapon uses while doing so, or are reliant on the knife which you have to share with Sigrid, or can just lose through her dying. 3 Stars with the Knife, 2 without. infinite 1-2 range, Astra, Rightful God, and Lethality from Assassin promo can get pretty bonkers if trained though, and i do think she's very fun to use. Zakal: MR: 4 / DR: 2 Same issue as Sophie, but even more amplified through the fact he doesn't get staves, accurate attacks, constant 1-2 range, no quick supports and mediocare availability. Double Lion also doesn't matter as much when his bulk is just okay. Can be phenomenal if trained, but just requires way too much investment. Groroth: MR: 3 / DR: 5 Yes i made this unit, yes i am absolutely biased, but let me explain. Groroth requires absolutely 0 investment to completely mow through hordes of Mages, which is phenomenal considering how many units in this rom have low to mediocre RES. He is one of your best tanks the moment he joins, and has high growths, meaning even just a few levels can go a long way for him. His Damage output can get so high that he can actually one shot most units when low HP. His weakness against S rank weapons does exist, but those are only really a thing on Cherry Route, and surprisingly enough, they usually still take 3-4 hits to kill him, which is still better than a good amount of your other units. He is also one of your best bets at tackling the boss Sweden. Just slap a hoplon guard on him, and give him Shura's white pool, and maybe Morena's +8 DEF/RES if you didn't level him or his levels were bad. Shura also just generally lets him double a good amount of enemies. On top of that he supports both Ormund and Sigrid (and would support Jack Garland once anyone on the dev team gets around to actually putting it in) I agree with pretty much every other unit rating. Huge thanks to Mangs, the dev team and Chat for making such a fun series possible.

WOO, 5 STARS, lesgooooo. I'm happy you enjoyed my unit, even if she did die during your run. Morena was always meant to be a unit that defends other units, and I found the best way to do that was to just buff their defenses to high heaven. Glad to be a part of this CMU, the experience was great!

Personally, after seeing the amount of threatening enemies within the ROM hack, I'm glad to see a tanky support unit, like Morena, who had skills that helped nearby allies survive, such as Night Tide and Lily's Poise. In fact, I think Morena's skill selection was maybe better (though her stat growths might've been worse) than a similar build that I had designed earlier: Name:Palatino|Gndr:M|Cls:Wyvern Rider|Aff:Ice|HP:0|Str:0|Mag:0|Skl:0|Spd:95|Lck:80|Def:65|Res:110|Boon:Lck|Bane:Str|Skills:5F 3D 38 48|LD:0|Blood:No|Portrt: Stern cleric/paladin Inventory: - Toxin Lance - Javelin Description: A cleric who, despite his pacifism, became a Wyvern Rider to help keep his more reckless allies alive with his prayers. For anyone curious, my idea for a flying supporting tank build had the following skills: - Lily's Poise, which provides adjacent allies with +1 damage dealt, and -3 damage received. - Spur Defense, which provides adjacent allies with -4 physical damage received. - Voice of Peace, which reduces the damage that enemies within 2 tiles deal by -2. - Rally Luck, which provides +4 luck to allies within 2 tiles. The resulting build would've made allies take -9 physical damage and -5 magical damage, at least under optimal conditions, and would've also helped allies avoid getting critted due to the +4 luck bonus, though admittedly, I believe that Morena's skill selection of Night Tide and Lily's Poise, which provides -8 physical and magical damage to adjacent allies, regardless of conditions, would've been more reliable overall.

@@ShadowWolfTJC the skill selection of your unit is pretty good but there is a major problem with your unit is that your unit has extremely lopsided growths with 0 in hp and all the attacking stats meaning you will quickly get to a point where your unit won't be able to even get chip experience. (enemies dieing from poison does not grant exp) meaning you can't gain experience to level up meaning you can't make use of the high growths you had in other areas meaning you will always be in one round terriory with no way of getting out of it unless you cram most of the Stat boosters down your unit throat. I'm not trying to be mean, I am sharing what I have learned from my own unit Shura (she has no real offense and she levels way too slowly once she promotes)

Going on Par with my last rating in FE7, my goal was to get 4+ stars! Happy to have been apart of this rom along with the Frontline bros. Ormund & Amon are in my opinion the strongest physical units paired together in the rom, and they sweep armies. Put Zev in there as well with his Aether, and it takes out tough armor knights (like Hamil Canyon). I'll provide some input on my runs when I finish the video!

Lanta can somewhat reliably kill things without lethality at base. Even then, she has about a 45% chance of instantly killing something if she doubles (which she probably will) and that chance will increase to about a 70% chance when she caps skill.

And considering DSnoon ends the map after a number of turns, it really changes the chapter. Every turn you can grind on Teach is basically a reward for rushing towards him instead of turtling.

I definitely see your point about how the Dancer could have been built better. When I made Mercy, I thought dancer tank was a good idea, but seeing how she was used, I think there were definitely better skills and stats to invest in for her. Live and learn! FE8 CMU was a blast and glad I could make the team.

@@ShadowWolfTJC I think I'd go Inspiring Tune/Miracle. Stat focus on SPD/HP/DEF. There were a lot of fast moving melee units coming from every angle, and in general Mercy remained a low level. I think not putting any kind of survival skill on her, particularly in this campaign, means she might die off fast. If not, I'd do Inspiring Tune/5 Leadership stars. It was very undervalued in the campaign, and I think particularly useful as an ability - and would then have to trust that Mangs/players kept her alive. Generally, I saw her in the back and far away from action, so skills that require her to be close to a lot of units to buff wouldn't work, I think, and I don't think I have to worry about RES, because there weren't many siege tomes or anything of the sort. (there were lots of ballista, or donboats however.)

The funny thing is that I never cared for Robin as she was in Awakening or Smash Bros, but give her an axe, a cool GBA sprite and class, and sunglasses, and suddenly she's a top-tier girl to me. Horrendously late comment but: While I relied on nothing but a singular skill like Double Lion to have my unit have stand out - Hey, if it worked for Morria, why not for me? /hj Glad to have been a part of this, even if I ended up becoming the Amelia-Replacement, good to see my unit still having gotten the 4 stars I aimed for thanks to having become the epitome of the ''Zero to Nino'' unit of this ROM. Personally, I'm glad to see the Seal Skills get some love with some of the characters, such as Ukasha at 1:22:56. I had an idea for a Trickster build (of Thief origin), themed after a Japanese Miko, that, in addition to being able to steal things and use staves, would've primarily used a Longbow, presumably armed with arrows containing magical paper charms, not necessarily for picking off enemies from afar (which would've been unlikely due to having no growth in strength, magic, or skill stats, along with luck), but rather, for debuffing problematic enemies (such as bosses) with the Seal Skill and Seal Speed skills, making them easier to hit, easier to dodge, easier to double, easier to avoid getting doubled, and easier to avoid triggering certain skills like Aether or Petrify, and also for healing allies within 2 tiles by 20% with the Breath of Life skill. The Dragon Blood skill was also added for being able to trigger Dragon Veins as needed, along with great growths in the speed, defense, and resistance stats in case the build was put into an exposed position. Not sure if it was intended but in my rom, Gen was able to use the Dainslef, unbreakable 1-2 range. Once I promoted her to an assassin, her lethality worked with astra and rightful goddess. Gave her ten chances to kill anyone instantly. Plus she could use lockpicks. I'd give her 4 star minimum.

Mangs, that's not how Devil's Luck works (trust me, I did research on the Devil skills when creating Isa). The best way I can explain Devil's Luck, is by saying it is Devil's Pact, but with the prerequisite of equipping a devil weapon. It doesn't depend on the user's luck, but the enemy's luck, so Marty's luck of 1 doesn't actually matter. (Also, Arondight isn't a Witcher reference, Mangs. It's a reference to Arthurian Legend like Zev's Galatine.) A few miscellaneous comments... I once believed that White Pool boosted AS, but I'm pretty sure it's incorrectly labeled and actually boosts speed. The only difference is 10 avoid, which is also useful. Also, the description of Blue Flame is slightly misleading (in my opinion). It gives the unit 2 damage and gives any adjacent units +2 damage. I've been told by a lot of people that I'm just dumb, but I'm interested if there's anyone else who thought Blue Flame only gave +2 attack to adjacent units who also had Blue Flame. There is ONE weapon that Hanakko can't steal, and that's Gleipnir (and Siege tomes). But as I don't think there's a single one of these you can steal, it doesn't matter. With 2B, Vantage+ prevents her from critting. I'm unsure whether or not this is a good thing or a bad thing, as 2B is frail, but it also prevents her from utilizing Crit Boost on enemy phase.

Utar F. Son's skills may seem weird because I chose them thinking he would be a playable character in case his nosferatu strats weren't enough to keep him above 25% HP. May not be the best skills for a boss. Also, he had one skill point unused (an oversight on my part), so that could have gone to a leadership star. He was one-shot with a crit in the swamp map, so a better skill would be Vantage+. Alternatively, Fortune + Insight (to make sure he hits and heals himself) + 2 leadership stars.

Ok so for anyone wondering i found out who are the triangle attack units, they are (to no one suprise) indeed, Rath Yucca and Euriale. BUT i also found out something interesting (completely by accident btw) Cherry Rath and Zev can ALSO do a triangle attack. Don't know if this is intentional, if it's a bug, a meme, or something else. But i guess that's cool.

Lanta (shown at 28:59) was such a fearsomely-designed player-controllable unit, with her combination of the Lethality and Rightful God skills, that, upon seeing her get eliminated so early in the ROM Playthrough, and upon learning that Lethality's skill point cost was increased to make such a combination impossible to replicate on another unit, I decided to brainstorm a build with the Bane skill, along with both the Rightful God and Rightful King skills, for likewise taking down highly-defensive enemies. Name:Baneblade|Gndr:F|Cls:Myrmidon(Assassin)|Aff:Ice|HP:0|Str:0|Mag:0|Skl:45|Spd:55|Lck:70|Def:95|Res:95|Boon:Skl|Bane:Str|Skills:7C,81,80|LD:1|Blood:No|Portrt:Edgy Inventory: - Slim Sword Description: Seeks to avenge the death of her former friend and mentor, Lanta the Lethal. Basically, every time Baneblade would've landed a successful strike on an enemy (which would've been likely, and would've likely made 2 attacks per engagement, or 4 attacks if given a Brave weapon, given that she would've been a Myrmidon), because of both Rightful God and Rightful King, the enemy would've had an over 40% chance (probably around a 45% chance, assuming a skill of 10) of being reduced to just 1 HP, helping to set up kills against bosses with near-unbreakable defense and resistance, and enormous health pools. Assuming a skill of 10, a speed advantage providing an extra attack, and perfect accuracy, the enemy would've had a mere 30% chance of avoiding getting affected by Bane! Hiowever, methinks Euriale, at 2:03:18, might've done my concept better by swapping out Rightful King for Petrify, since between the Rightful-God-boosted Petrify and Bane skills, and assuming a skill stat of 10, methinks the enemy would've had a mere 39% chance of avoiding becoming affected by either Petrify, Bane, or both PER ATTACK! (At 20 skill, this would've been reduced to a measly 30% chance!) That's only a 15% chance of successfully avoiding getting affected by either Petrify or Bane if 2 attacks landed successfully (and enemies might as well abandon any hope of avoiding the effects of Petrify and/or Bane if Euriale was given a Brave weapon)! Bravo to Euriale's creator, though maybe she could've done better with different stat growths, and maybe a different class (such as a Myrmidon, or one of its promotes like Assassin or Swordmaster, perhaps).

he was not talking about low level units, he was talking about the blossom skill itself, that double growths but half EXP gains, that makes the unit fall behind because they don't level up. and Sigrid has a very unique build with a awesome personal, far removed from "Good Growths, Bad EXP, Just Stats" boring build that is Blossom.

I'm bummed that Lonan's really high growth rates and insane staff rank for his join time weren't mentioned, but 3 star is still okay I suppose. He's a dogshit war monk though. Literally his worst option. He's better as a Sage or a Bishop. Maybe if there was a bolt axe he'd be a good War Monk but that class has terrible promotion bonuses. Choosing War Monk for Lonan is like willingly choosing Sagittarri if it had no skill and no Canto+ for Subbie.
