I was there, stood up against the stage in front of James. I still have a photo of Nicky outside the City Hall somewhere! That was the last time I saw them until about 2010 at Brixton. I remember thinking they seemed pretty mainstream by 1996, nothing compared to how popular they became following that!

I was at this gig (2005 City Hall) the venue is all seater so probably why it doesn’t look bouncing. Rest assured it was where I was stood , I was on the other side of the hall though. The setlist was immense, a lot of my favourites in there and one of my favourite Manics gigs.

I went to the Cardiff Gig on the 12/05/07 I can tell you crowd was totally different the first ten rows were mad it was hot as hell, they came on and did you love us and the place just came alive and that's the way it stayed it only calm down for the acoustic set

Oh my gosh, this was the 1st gig I ever went to on Oct 7th 1996. Catatonia were supporting and I have a vague recollection of Nicky Wire bad mouthing Newcastle United and abusing the security team. Fabulous x

They seemed to play more THB stuff on the PPF tour, only song they did at Leeds this year besides the mandatory Faster was the acoustic version of Yes.
