I was born in 1988 and vividly remember this song. I was only four years old, but I remember it playing on the radio all the time while I was riding in the back seat of my father's car in 1992 into 1993. The first Manics song I ever heard back when I was a teenager. As I recall, I was revising for my GCSEs at the time, and I heard it on the radio one evening and it instantly struck a chord. Something about the song’s melancholic yearning tone really resonated. I went out and bought the single the following week and have been a fan ever since.

I took Manic Street Preachers for granted in 90s but I now realise what a quality band they are! These songs stand up its astounding!!!! Strong,complex pop with integrity, authenticity and soul.

Good comment! I've been around since they were taking off in the early 90s, and they've never lost their creative edge or consistency between the many albums they've released. Also, they've never taken a long "hiatus". Greatest band in the past 30yrs...the only acts that can compete are Texas and Sophie Ellis Bextor.
