Lyrics:
Drinking
Water to stay thin
Or is it to purify?
I love you all the same
But there's no
No real truce with my fury
You don't have to believe me
I love you all the same
Same
But you stole the sun from my heart
You stole the sun from my heart
Oh-oh, you stole the sun from my heart
You stole the sun from, you stole the sun from
Ah-ah-ah-ah
You have
Broken through my armour
And I don't have an answer, I
I love you all the same
I paint
The things I wanna see
But it don't come easy, I
I love you all the same
But you stole the sun from my heart
You stole the sun from my heart
Oh-oh, you stole the sun from my heart
You stole the sun from, you stole the sun from
Ah-ah-ah-ah
I think I'm
I'm lost among the undergrowth
So much so I woke up, I
I love you all the same
But you stole the sun from my heart
You stole the sun from my
Oh-oh, you stole the sun from my heart
You stole the sun from, you stole the sun from
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
I have
I gotta stop smiling
It gives the wrong impression, I
I love you all the same

+Bernadette Kerr ripped off? Or taken as an influence? Wire also described the music as a mix of New Order and Nirvana - something you might be able to go along with if you really do the audio equivalent of squinting - and explained that the drum loop (yes, more drum machines) was sampled by Moore from the sound of a pinball machine, of all things. manicsdiscog.wordpress.com/2013/05/17/a104-you-stole-the-sun-from-my-heart/

Everything Must Go is a definite classic from 1996. A Design For Life really got me into the manics. A great track, with a great opening line, "Libraries gave us power", the title track, Australia, Kevin Carter. Design For Life, and the album Everything Must Go really turned me onto them. One of my favourite ever tracks is the number one single 'If You Tolerate This, Then Your Children Will Be Next'. What a brilliant song.

Totally agree. MSP are a superb and talented band. I love the way the room goes dark when the dark words come in and then lights up again. I am into a lot of music from 50's til present (Elvis, Abba, Lady Gaga blah) but believe me this will always, always be in my top ten. Thank you MSP.
