Forever it was written about. Truly. You’re right as well and right itself was for the betterment of all. The word and it’s meaning. I could type yeah your right/ wrong on anything that’s what we’ve come to. Common sense and sayings and basics are going why is this? Example I have known is kids and having 6 myself couple adults now yet still always my little ones. I’m going back to the start of good/bad. Nothing we do is new. There’s something proper wrong and always has been since wrong/bad come into all. How do we know wrong/right? From ourselves? That’s bullshit.

@@redplague Because the song is written about the Spanish Civil War it in no way prevents the lyrics hitting home with other things. Also intrinsically most problems throughout history are repeating cycles, and as such anything about one thing instantly applies to many others. Also get this, art is what you make of it always will be, and if you think anything ever made can only be what it's creator specifically made it to be. Then your attempt to sound clever and perceived sense of superiority; because you believe you have a correct answer against wrong ones. Only shows you to be stupid and very limited in your ability to critically think.

@@EddThe19th You have have completely failed to understand how my reply relates to the original comment. I'll repeat it for you Mr Critical Thinker. "This song makes more sense today than it ever has". I never said it couldn't be reinterpreted for a different time. I was doubting how it makes more sense now than what it was actually written about with a mind that maybe only those who didn't understand what the song was about would think that. I'm afraid your own attempt to sound clever has utterly backfired. How embarrassing for you.
@EddThe19th4 жыл бұрын
@@redplague No it really hasn't that's some A grade twisting to try change a stance, worst of all it makes absolutely no sense. Not only is it a sentiment that isn't conveyed by the short sentence you wrote, but given the song at no point makes a direct reference and the fact that metaphor is such a heavy part of most modern imagery. It absolutely can make more sense now. Most importantly it's still an artistic production, as such is an entirely subjective experience. If the message, feeling or take away someone gets from it feels more real, or like it makes more sense than ever before, then that's an entirely correct fact for them.

Apparently this song is about the Spanish Civil War I read in a BBC interview with Nicky Wire. I had no idea - I'm 40 and my 96 grandmother who's still very much with us was evacuated from the Basque region of Spain in the 1930s. World War II then intervened and she remained in the UK - moving to Wales with my Welsh grandfather in the early 70s and settling in the Vale of Glamorgan.
