മറ്റൊന്ന്, ജോലിക്കാരികൾ നിലവിളിക്കുമ്പോൾ റൂമിൽ കിടന്ന് ഉറങ്ങുന്ന ഗംഗയും നകുലനും ഉള്ള സീൻ. വീട്ടുകാർ വാതിലിൽ മുട്ടുമ്പോൾ കണ്ണ് തുറക്കുന്ന ഗംഗ - ഈ ഒരു സീൻ വളരെ വളരെ പ്രധാനം ആയിരുന്നു. ഗംഗ ആദ്യം കണ്ണ് തുറക്കുന്ന ഭാവം നാഗവല്ലിയുടേതും, പിന്നെ ഒന്നുകൂടി ഭാവം മാറി ഗംഗ ആകുന്നതും വളരെ സൂക്ഷ്മമായി കാണിക്കുന്ന ഒരു സീൻ ആയിരുന്നു അത്. പക്ഷേ 4K വേർഷനിൽ ഈ സീൻ ആകെ ഇരുട്ട് ആയിട്ടാണ് render ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്, അവിടെ ഗംഗയുടെ ഈ എക്സ്പ്രഷൻ മാറുന്നത് ഒന്നും കാണാൻ പറ്റില്ല.

1993 ൽ shafaz theathre ൽ ആണ് ഞാൻ കണ്ടത്...... 4k visually super but sound full ശോകം....😢😢😢😢

Devadoothan restoration was top notch - both Video and Audio. 😍 Spadikam is next in my list..Video restoration was great..But, I didn't like the additional scenes/shot added to the original. Audio was good..However, most of the parts are re-recorded and lost the nostalgic feel..🙂 Manichitrathazhu - Sorry, not satisfied with the restoration. Video restoration/cleanup could have been better.. Again, audio scape for Dolby Atmos not utilized fully. Having said that, I am greatly appreciate the effort they put on restoration in this 1993 movie.. 😊

What you said is correct . Exactly what I thought about after viewing in a mediocre Atmos theatre . BUT I watched it in Ariesplex again I understood that , it’s basically the problem of theatre mostly. Still it had that syncing problem with the scenes . Nb : Extra music added were odd.

ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടത് അങ്ങാടിപ്പുറം മല്ലിക പ്ലക്സസില്‍ ടെല-2 ക്ലോസ്, മിഡ് ഷോട്ടുകൾ ഒഴിച്ചുള്ളവ പുകപോലെ ആണ്. ശബ്ദ സംവിധാനം എന്തോ ഒരു കുറവ് തോന്നി.

Without these changes, most viewers might have complained about sound quality. It's a delicate balance between preserving the original vision and catering to modern expectations. I watched Manichtrathazhu in Palaxy Cinemas, and I was impressed with the sound quality. It was a great experience.

കോപ്പാണ്.... നശിപ്പിച്ചു കളഞ്ഞു ശബ്ദത്തെ.... കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് കേരളീയം പരിപാടിയിൽ ഈ പടം ഇട്ടതാണ്.... അന്ന് മനസിലാക്കിയതാണ് ഇതിന്റെ ശബ്ദം... വിസ്‌ഫോടകം ആയിരുന്നു ആ ശബ്ദം.... ഇന്നലെ കണ്ട പുതിയ വേർഷനിൽ വെറും ഉറക്കം തൂങ്ങി ശബ്ദം ആയിരുന്നു... കോപ്പിലെ ഡോൾബി atmos... ഈ മൈര് എടുത്തു കളയണം..

Exactly. They should have kept sound untouched or minor improvements just like Devadoothan. They added extra bass and mixed original songs with instrumental sounds re-recorded and it felt so badly stood out when mixed with the original.

True..re recorded instruments spoiled the songs. In Pazhamthamizhpattu the vocals weren't gelling well with instruments. In oru murai song also the instruments didn't sound authentic.

റീമാസ്റ്റർ/റിസ്റ്റോർ ട്രെൻഡുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട എൻ്റെ ഏക ആശങ്ക OST-കൾ അത്ര നന്നായി സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നതാണ്. ഇത് വരെ Re-Releases എടുക്കുമ്പോൾ, ദേവദൂതൻ ഒഴികെ, ബാക്കിയുള്ളവയ്ക്ക് അത്ര നന്നായി സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ട പശ്ചാത്തല സ്കോറുകൾ ഇല്ല. എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണെന്ന് എനിക്ക് മനസ്സിലായില്ല. In the case of Hollywood, their remasters look Good its because they have proper Archiving facilities for Negatives and OSTs. That's why when it is restored, the quality still remains fresh. ഭാവിയിൽ വരുന്ന റീമാസ്റ്റർ യഥാർത്ഥ സ്കോർ റീമാസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്ത് ശ്രമിക്കുമെന്ന് ഞാൻ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

ജോൺസൺ മാഷ് ചെയ്തു വച്ചതിന്റെ ആ ഇമ്പാക്ട് കിട്ടാൻ കൂടി വേണ്ടി ആണ് ഞാൻ 100തവണ കണ്ട മണിച്ചിത്ര താഴ് വീണ്ടും തിയേറ്ററിൽ പോയി കണ്ടത്.. പക്ഷെ എനിക്കു നിരാശ ആണ് ഉണ്ടായത്.. അത്രയ്ക്കും മോശം ആയ ബിജിഎം ആണ് റീക്രിയേറ്റ് ചെയ്തു വച്ചത്.... എന്റെ കൂടെ കണ്ട ഫ്രണ്ട്സിനും ഇത് തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു അവസ്ഥ 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Yeah, the effort behind it is remarkable indeed. But, lt is also disappointing! As you said, Remastered മണിച്ചിത്രത്താഴിൽ, അതിന്റെ ആത്മാവായ ആ main bgm, several other background scores and 'ഒരു മുറൈ വന്ത് പാർത്തായ' soundtrack ഒക്കെ recreate ചെയ്തും വേറെ പലതും extra add ചെയ്തുമൊക്കെ use ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്, compared to the original bgms & scores, inferior ആയും, പടവുമായി വേണ്ട പോലെ blend ആകാതെ വേറിട്ട്‌ നിൽക്കുന്നതുമായാണ് മിക്ക ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടത്. I understand that there can be limitations when you remaster an old movie, but..if it's not broken don't fix it, otherwise you'll end up breaking it ! എന്ന് പറയും പോലെ തന്നെ ഇവിടെ സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. പിന്നെ, Film negative, intact ആയി available അല്ലായിരുന്നു എന്ന് എവിടെയോ കേട്ടിരുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ടാവും colour grading അങ്ങനെ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഒരു കണക്കിന് നോക്കുമ്പോൾ അത് മതി താനും, ആ vintage feel നഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നില്ലല്ലോ. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഒരു പക്ഷെ, ഇപ്പോൾ audio departmentൽ ഒരു ഏച്ചുകെട്ടൽ feel ചെയ്യുന്നത് പോലെ തന്നെ coloursഉം ആ തനിമ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് അനാവശ്യമായി എറിച്ച് നിന്നേനെ! Anyway, overall മികച്ച experience നൽകിയിരുന്ന, വീണ്ടും അത് demand ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈയൊരു പടത്തിനെ, audio recreation പ്രതികൂലമായിട്ട് ബാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്ന് തന്നെ പറയേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.

Sound Efx ൽ പാളിയത് ഒരൊറ്റ സീനിൽ മനസിലാവും, കാട്ടുപറമ്പൻ തെക്കിനിയിയിൽ നിന്ന് പേടിച്ചോടി പടിയിറങ്ങി വരുമ്പോൾ അവിടെ ഒരു വെള്ളം ഉള്ള മൊന്ത മറിഞ്ഞു വീഴുന്ന ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ട്.. അതിന് ശേഷം സ്കോർ ൽ വയലിൻ വരുന്നതും അത്രക്കും sync ആയിരുന്നു... recreate ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ ആ മൊന്തയുടെ ശബ്ദം വെള്ളമില്ലാത്ത മൊന്ത വച്ചാണോ അതോ മറ്റെന്തെങ്കിലും വച്ചാണോ ചെയ്തത് എന്ന് പോലും തിരിച്ചറിയാവാൻ ആവാത്ത തരം ചേർച്ചയില്ലായ്മ ആയിരുന്നു.. അത് പോലെ നാഗവല്ലി രാത്രി രാമനാഥന്റെ വീടിന്റെ പരിസരത്ത് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന അലർച്ച.. Recreate ചെയരുതായിരുന്നു എന്ന് തോന്നിപ്പിച്ച മറ്റൊരു ചേർച്ചയില്ലായ്മ 😢

Hey no.... It can be perfectly notated.... Bcoz every notes are simple and specific, but the problem is the sounding amd emotions by which it is being used.... Cant match it accurately.....

@@mervintalksmusic ok, u mean this one. But still, with respect i differ.i feel unless the original notations are authentically obtained, copying cud be lacking at least few things. Not note errors i mean,but maybe exact notes in chords used, some additions, some expressions etc. But there are some who amazingly copy even the most complex difficult to identify chords and notations. Here it may seem simpler , but i am unsure.esp vioin ensembles.my take only . Some newer songs, notations are available i have heard. But original score, you may have to ask the original players, but they may not make it available freely or clearing copyright stuff.

എനിക്ക് ഒട്ടും ഇഷ്ടപെട്ടില്ല. കാരണങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ട്.. ഇവർ പറയുന്നു . ഒരു വർഷമെടുത്തിട്ടാണ് ഇത് ചെയ്തതെന്ന്.. പക്ഷെ എനിക്ക് തോന്നുന്നില്ല ഇത് നെഗറ്റീവ് സ്കാൻ ചെയ്തതാണെന്ന്. കാരണം പല സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും സീൻ വളരെ ബ്ലർ ആയിപ്പോയി. പ്രത്യേകം എടുത്ത് പറയേണ്ടത് ശ്രീദേവിയുടെ കാര്യം ചർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്ന ഉമ്മറത്തെ സീൻ. ഇനി ശബ്ദത്തിലേക്ക് വരികയാണെങ്കിൽ അനാവശ്യമായ ഇഫക്റ്റ്സ് കുത്തികയറ്റി. തെക്കിനി തുറക്കുമ്പോൾ വവ്വാലിൻ്റെ ശബ്ദം. താക്കോൾ വീഴുമ്പോൾ വൂഷ് ശബ്ദം. അത് പോലെ നാച്ചുറൽ ശബ്ദം കയറ്റാൻ വേണ്ടി കാര്യമായ ഡയലോഗ് പറയുന്ന കുളപ്പടവിലെ സീനിൽ അനാവശ്യമായ ജീവികളുടെ ശബ്ദങ്ങൾ. സത്യം പറഞ്ഞാൽ നല്ലൊരു ക്ലാസിക്കിനെ എടുത്ത് കൊന്നു. പാല്പായസം രണ്ടാമത് ചോദിച്ചപ്പോൾ കോളാംബിയിൽ വിളമ്പിയത് പോലെ ആയി

(Phelps ഓ മറ്റോ പറഞ്ഞപോലെ ആ last ലാപിന് പിന്നിൽ എത്ര നാളത്തെ പ്രയോഗപരിചയം ഉണ്ടാവണം)." രാരാ " എന്ന തുടക്കത്തിനും ആ note inspiration ആയിരിക്കണം, eventhough raga is different. അന്ന് സിനിമ കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ, ഒരു പ്രേതത്തെ കാണിക്കാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നു തോന്നിയപ്പോൾ, മാഷ് എന്തായിരിക്കും സ്കോറിൽ ചെയ്യുക എന്ന് ഉദ്വേഗത്തോടെ ഇരുന്നത് ഓർക്കുന്നു.പ്രേതം എന്ന സങ്കൽപം വിശ്വസനീയമായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കയും cringe ആകാതെ score ചെയ്യുകയും വേണം. (പിന്നീട് മനസിലായി വന്നു, ഒരു പ്രേതകഥയുടെ സാധാരണ തട്ടകം അല്ല അതിലെന്നു). ഒടുവിൽ അന്ത cello യും mridang ഉം ബെല്ലും violin ensemble high tremolo note ഉം അങ്ങട് വന്നപ്പോൾ ആഹാ!രോമാഞ്ചം അനുഭവിച്ചു. അവിടെ പപ്പുച്ചേട്ടനെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന, മൊന്ത പടിയിലൂടെ വീഴുന്ന സീൻ -അന്ന് അവിടെയാണ് theatre ലേ എല്ലാ speakers ഉം അവർ ഓൺ ആക്കുന്നതു. അപ്പോൾ പിടികിട്ടി സിനിമ ഇനി ഏതു level ആയിരിക്കും എന്ന്. അതുപോലെ തന്നെയാണ് "വിടമാട്ടെ"യുടെ, ഇടയ്ക്കയിലോ മറ്റോ ആരംഭിച്ചു, pakhwaj ലൂടെ കയറി അങ്ങ് ത്രസിപ്പിക്കുന്ന score. ഇതെല്ലാം ഇപ്പറഞ്ഞപോലെ കുറച്ചുമാത്രം instruments. അതുപിന്നെ അതുകൊണ്ടൊക്കെ എത്ര intense emotions ആണ് മാഷ് ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഒരു strings. ഒരു vibraphone. ഒരു സന്തൂർ. ഓടക്കുഴൽ.ഇത്രയും കൊണ്ട് എത്ര എത്ര ഭാവങ്ങൾ. എത്രയെത്ര ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ acting കൾക്കുള്ള സ്കോർസ്. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കോമഡി രംഗങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള dukki, തുമ്പ, ഓടക്കുഴൽ, kalimba പ്രയോഗം എത്രമാത്രം നൊസ്റ്റാൾജിയ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നുവെന്നോ. കൂടെ ഒടുവിലാനും പപ്പുവും മാമുക്കോയയും ജഗതിയും ശ്രീനിയും ശങ്കരാടിയും പിന്നെ അന്തിക്കാടും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ പിന്നൊന്നും വേണ്ട. വെറുതെ ഒന്നുകൂടി അത്ഭുതപ്പെടണമെന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ വെറുതെ പെരുംതച്ചന്റെ ടൈറ്റിൽ score ഒന്ന് കേൾക്കണേ. മദ്ദളം ഒക്കെ ചേർത്തു അങ്ങനെ..(റേഞ്ച് അവിടെ നിന്നും മാനത്തെ വെള്ളിതേരിലേക്കും ഞാൻ ഗന്ധർവനിലേക്കും വെള്ളാരപൂമലയിലേക്കും ഗോപികേ..ലേക്കും ഡോക്ടർ സാറേ യിലേക്കും അങ്ങനെ ആവശ്യത്തിനനുസരിച്ചു മാറി മാറി..)

ഇനിയും അൽഭുതപെടണമെങ്കിൽ താഴ്‌വാരത്തിൻ്റെ BG സ്കോറും , പൊന്തൻമാടയിൽ നസറുദ്ദീൻ ഷായെ കാണിക്കുമ്പോളുള്ള സിംഫണി ഓർക്സ്ട്രരയും, താളവട്ടത്തിൽ മോഹൻലാലിൻ ഷോക്ക് നൽകുമ്പോളുള്ള റോക്ക് മ്യൂസിക്കും ഒക്കെ കേട്ടാൽ മതി.

@@FalahAliSinger മറ്റേതു രണ്ടും ഓർമയുണ്ട്. Thalavattom ഒന്നുകൂടി കേൾക്കണം . ❤️❤️thx tabla tone ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ. മാഷിന്റെ പാട്ടുകളിലെ tabla tone അന്യായ mixing ആണ്. മാഷിന്റെ strings എവിടെ കേട്ടാലും തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ ആകും (ഇളയരാജ സറിന്റെയും അതേ ). മാഷിന്റെ vibraphone, santhur,sitar,flute അതേ.

ബെന്നി ജോൺസൺ എന്ന മ്യൂസിക്ക് ഡയറക്ടർ നെ ഒന്ന് പോഷിപ്പിക്കാൻ നോക്കിയതാണ്. അത് കൊണ്ടാണ് സ്കോർ പാളിയത്.. അങ്ങേർക്ക് പൂ മാല ഇട്ട് സ്വീകരണം ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.. മനസിലായി കാണുമല്ലോ എന്താണ് സംഭവിച്ചത് എന്ന്... ഇത്രയും സീനിയർ ആയ ഇത് പോലത്തെ മ്യൂസിക് ഡയറക്ടർ നെ ഏൽപ്പിക്കാതെ ഈ സിനിമയെ , ആ സിനിമയുടെ മ്യൂസിക്ക് നെ സ്നേഹിച്ച , സ്വയം പ്രൂവ് ചെയ്യാൻ ശ്രമിക്കാത്ത, ജോൺസൺ മാസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തു വച്ച സ്കോർ നെ മാത്രം സ്നേഹിച്ച ഒരാൾ ആയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഈ അറ്റംപ്റ്റ് ന് മുതിരില്ലായിരുന്നു..
