I live in the Philippines. Never imagined there would be a boardgame based on our capital city. Thanks for the review!!

By reviewing games that are no longer in print it increases the possibility that great games will be reprinted for us to all be able to enjoy. So thanks for the review.

I like it when Tom reviews older games. That's how I find out about those games.

I love that you guys are slowly reviewing older games as well, there are many I've missed and never played. Thanks!

Why does your copy of the game have it spelled "Manilla" (with 2 L's) on the box?

interesting - they have characters on the cards that look like old Philippine "Alibata" script. I guess the river the game is played on could probably be though of as the Pasig...if I understand correctly it is a German game

This game is available to purchase. I just typed in "Board Game Manila" into yahoo and found it in about 10 seconds. It may not be in print anymore, but the game can still be found (around $45). I appreciate reviews for older games, especially if no other reviews exist.

Tom in the future please poll everyone before deciding on what to review to ensure that everyone has nothing to complain about. :)

I still remember the one time I was the lone pirate and all three ships landed on the plunder space :D

You know what...my apologies! The stores, that show a listed price, do not have it in stock. If you search for the game on boardgamegeek, there are some people there selling it. One guy has it for $53 inc free shipping to Europe and North America.
