As the Manipur crisis failed to find a place in the President’s address to Parliament, newly elected Inner Manipur MP A Bimol Akoijam delivered a blazing speech against the BJP-led NDA government for “ignoring” the strife-torn state.
“Is this silence communicating to the people of the Northeast and particularly Manipur that you do not matter in the Indian State’s scheme of things?”, said Bimol.

Bimol is right. The Ruling Party is now planning to divide Manipur into three parts just as it did to JNK. The issue for the Meiteis is "the Imphal Valley will the first Open Air Jail with its surrounding hills as the solid walls after the dicision is formalised. Things are being prepared towards that end.
