I really like this video, a lot of the dual boot videos you see either over explain every single little thing, like how to make a bootable USB, or they expect you to know exactly what your doing and don't explain anything at all. This is a good middle ground that doesn't treat you/make you feel like an idiot.

Instead, I watched this tutorial to dual boot Q4OS which btw has same installer as Manjaro. It was also helpful to see that you also showed the way to remove Manjaro since I used that same method for Q4OS. Im planning to switch to Manjaro Linux, MX Linux or in worst case, Linux Mint. Hi, I followed along with the tutorial step-by-step on my Asus Vivobook laptop, right until 5:58 when you click Next after selecting the Boot flag and the /boot/efi mount point in the FAT32 partition on the installer. However, I'm getting an error saying "An EFI system partition is necessary to start Manjaro. To configure an EFI system partition, go back and select or create a FAT32 filesystem with the boot flag enabled and mount point /boot/efi. You can continue without setting up an EFI system partition but your system may fail to start." But, as I said, I did select a FAT32 fs with the boot flag and mount point /boot/efi, any idea why it isn't detecting it? Should I just continue with the installation or should I change something? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Einige Motherboards erlauben standardmäßig keine anderen Bootloader.

Hi! As fr the Swap and home is because I do later a swapfile in the system. I usually don't use a home partition because I work with external drives most of the time. As for eh other questions, I am not sure I understand. Google Drive can be accessed through Online Accounts in Settings. Once you log into your Google Account in the Settings it should stay at reboot.

I can’t install manjaro onto my partitioned space, it doesn’t show /boot/efi and I have a UEFI system. Then when I get past that step I get an error every time that says: this GPT partition contains no BIOS boot properties. Does anyone know how to fix this?

It seems like you’re running a legacy system with a gpt label. For that a bios boot partition is necessary. I have a video on partitioning on the channel.

Great video, perfect explanation! I have only got one question: why didn't you create a swap partition for Manjaro? Cheers and keep up with your stuff!

In this particular vm I had enough RAM, so I didn't create it.

This is a very helpful video, but I have an issue. After I installed it, I can't connect to the internet. Instead, the icon is greyed out and it says "no network devices available" when I click on it.

You might have to check the motherboard option. Some motherboards don't allow by default other OS's.
