MK34 versions and batteries: goinggear.com/m...
The Manker MK34 has been one of my go-to lights since I first started using it. 8000 lumens on the cool white, 6500 on the high CRI. The MK34 is surprisingly compact considering the output and really reasonably priced. 12 LEDs with compact optics get you a really floody wall of light that is great for lighting up everything in front of you.

I've loved flashlights all my life and I collect flashlights. Since my early day as a first responder EMT back in the70s when the coolest light to have was a 4 or 5 cell mag flashlight. Today as a retired Respiratory Care Practitioner I still find my self stopping and rendering aid to people in car accidents and find that a good flashlight with a strobe has been a life saver preventing an accident by warning on coming cars. I also use them at night when walking and prevented strangers getting to close just having the high lumen out put. This light looks awesome. Can't wait to check out your web site.

Finally, someone that speaks real specs on run time. As in the high output modes. People just read what the box says and don't do an actual high output run time and speak of that.

This fall I went on a camping trip up in Maine with a bunch (~25) of my friends, and I brought along a few of my flashlights, one of which being my Nitecore TM06. I always carry a Zebralight H600w as an EDC and I have a small collection of other flashlights, so I'm very accustomed to them, and didn't expect them to raise any eyebrows. But when I took out my TM06 people started asking a few questions, I had it on medium and they were remarking on how bright it was and asked me how bright it could go. So I put it on max and everyone around the fire was blown away by it! They all wanted to play with it and shine it around into the trees and the sky and just generally blast the field with it. They ended up spending over an hour just passing it around and playing with it and asking about it. It got a good laugh out of me, but also it was a little vindicating when so many people (mostly on the internet) tend to ask "Why would you spend >$100 on a flashlight?" Luckily, most of my friends are no strangers to the outdoors, so they already know the value of a good flashlight, but most of them hadn't yet seen what a modern day, high-performance flashlight can output. It's really nice being able to turn night into day with the push of a button. It's one of those things a lot of people take for granted, instead favoring stumbling around in the dark or using terrible cellphone flashlights (which also then kill their cellphone battery). Aside from that, every. single. time. I do anything at night EVER with my friends (which is multiple times per week), someone asks to borrow my flashlight. There's literally ALWAYS a time where someone wants to light something up better than a cellphone light can do. It's come in handy hundreds of times for me and dozens upon dozens of times for my friends. Probably one of the most useful little tools you can stuff into your pocket, and terribly underrated :/

I do have several LED flashlights but before they came out I used my two D cell Maglite with a halogen bulb replacement. That Maglite would zoom a beam an easy 175 yards out. I have LEDs that can outperform that now, but I'll always have a place for that Maglite.

i just got an S1R and i love it, i use it every night to make sure i dont step on poop lol i've had it for like three days and just adore it last night i actually clipped it onto the bill of a hat as a headlamp to pull the valve cover and check cam timing on my motorcycle. i was pleasantly surprised to find that even in the middle of the night low mode was adequate and medium was actually a bit much for just doing routine things where i knew what to expect, then when i dropped a bolt the higher outputs came in handy to help me find it i am just constantly surprised how much i like this light, no longer do i have to even worry about runtimes i get TONS of warning when the battery is getting low cause it locks out turbo but still maintains the "non excessive" modes lol and then when i get home i just charge it for practically free 10/10 i love it

Sure thing, I use my light at home walking the dog. She likes to eat everything off the ground so I keep an eye on her at night. Have several EDC lights but I have a feeling that one of these new olights on the way will be my new EDC. I love having a small light for work. Looking inside a dirty dark machine is impossible to see without a decent light. Having a magnetic base or hard hat clip is a must also. I use it many times throughout the day on every other scenario we all topically go through. Lights and more so battery technology has gotten so much better over the past couple of years. Awesome review! Thanks

I use my olight s1 at a refinery tank farm (area where their storage tanks are). Refineries are typically very well lit, but their tank farms are not. I use my light to check chemical inventories and pump rates. The S1 is perfect for that use.

I HAVE to visit your store one day!! I've been addicted to flashlights since before I can remember. I would talk my parents into taking me to the store and buying a new light at least once a month. Whatever the latest version was. Maglite, mini maglite, krypton and xenon filled bulbs, large reflector handheld 12vdc "million candle power" lights that plugged into the cigarette lighter. I had my sight on anything that was better, or brighter. Now, I don't have nearly as many as I would like. My brightest is a Nitecore TM15. Everyone that's seen it thinks that the light output is insane, however, I'm over here craving something brighter. I'm also on the lookout for the brightest pocket carry I can find. Love the channel, though!

I also like the part in your video where you walk in the woods talking about different aspects of having a flashlight. Keep up the great videos. Sincerely Dan

I EDC Nitecore SRT 6 (and an SRT 3 when I wear a suit) and use it as a home inspector and Realtor ALL the time for lighting under sinks, attic, crawl spaces, etc. A bright, powerful light is also nice when looking for surface defects such as patching or bad drywall work. The SRT 6/3's Smartring *really* keeps me from blinding myself in a dark space since I can manually turn the adjustment knob to the lowest setting easily without having to cycle through the different outputs. I know other flashlights have an "instant" moonlight or low-setting memory, but I don't like having to remember the myriad of interfaces between all my lights. The total output of the SRT 6 combines with the size and battery life is a real winner. I only wish I could get rid of the flashing and beacon modes, or at least have a physical lock-out I need to bypass to use them when needed.

I've taken to carrying 2 to 3 lights as EDC nowadays. My current lineup is the MH20NW, H1 Nova NW, and T1A Titan. When my family and I ate on a picnic table with an umbrella one evening, I hung up my MH20 on the umbrella ribs and stuck my H1 on the umbrella shaft. I never appreciated the actual usefulness of an angle light and magnetic tailcap until then. The beam pattern on the H1 Nova and T1A are perfect for everyday use: brightest at the middle then smoothly decreasing as it moves outward giving you a fair amount of throw. Not like other flood lights (especially the spot-flood adjusting lights) where its a bit darker on the centre of the beam. I wonder if the S1R Baton has the same beam pattern as the H1 since the latter uses a bead TIR and the S1R uses a sort of clear TIR?

Manker is truly disappointing from a service perspective. I purchased an E14 2 Nichia that did not operate. I had to pay to ship the unit back to Manker. They sent the damaged unit back to me claiming that there was no issue with the light. I purchased a new battery for the unit, which also did not work. They have refused to replace the light. They have said that if I want to pay to ship it back to them, they will inspect it again. The light cost $69.00 , the first return cost me $17.00. It would be at least that to return it again. Never again will I purchase a Manker.

I use my "lights" especially the high output one, to find dropped items, especially contact lenses, pills, and anything dropped. My wife and I are legally blind and these lights are very helpful. My EDC one(s) come in handy all the time. they help with dropped objects and also walk into the church and I hit the ceiling and it lights up the whole room. I'm on a quest for the worlds afordable brightest light. 100,000 lumens or more without melting windows and scorching paint at 100 yards. Just kidding.

While the light looks nice I greatly dislike lights that step down in just a few minutes. Much rather have a slightly larger light that can maintain 4k lumens if needed. I greatly dislike the many manufactures putting out lights with almost instant step down. Even manker cannot keep up 2k lumens till the batteries run down.

I would love to see the same body style but figure out whats the best output they can sustain without drop and not requiring IMR. My current flashlight is the older tk70 2200l which has been great. I just ordered a tn40 to test against it as I'm getting tired of the lack of good D rechargeables. I have lots of hunters trespassing so I like a balance of throw and lumens. Just got in the Dragon vp4 today and currently testing it with Panasonic 3400mah. Going to post my results on candlepower and budgetlights shortly.

Manker cheated on this one, BLF tests shows it steps down automatic after just 30 sec so even in cold environments it will do that kinda useless lumens... and the max lumen is only around 6800 so manker cheated like hell on this one... wanted one but when i read that i quickly lost interest.....
