Little bit of lore, Mannco is the company that supplies the mercs with weapons and is one of the biggest companies in the TF2 universe. Saxton Hale, the muscular australian owns the company. Now the robots are owned by Greymann or G-man, one of the mann brothers along with Redmund and Blutarch (The owners of Red and Blu). Greymann believes he is the true owner of Mannco as it was originally owned by his father but instead of passing it down to one of the brothers he passed it on to Saxton Hale's Grandfather. Now he's hell bent on getting it back with the use of his money fueled robot army, and yes he is so rich he uses actual money as fuel. Now Saxton Hale hires the mercs to defend the various Mannco facilities scattered across the world. And the money the robots drop is the payment the mercs receive.

It was hilarious. everyone else was from Texas, Florida, Arizona, and the like, so they had rarely seen good snow. I hail from 11,000 feet up in the rocky mountains, where you can get permafrost in July. Everyone was sheltering in the thundering blizzard, but I had brought some gear and just stomped through it all. the other team was terrified as they saw me just fearlessly marching towards them, shield up and weapons drawn. That was a fun day in which I single-handedly won an airsoft game.

Here is why the sign has the logo despite the corporation being owned by a guy who is making robots to replace the TF2 mercs, is because Redmond and Blutarch Mann were originally the owners of the company and before that, their parents (and at some point Saxton Hale (the man who invented pissing in a jar and then throwing said jar at your enemies)), one day Grey Mann (the long lost Mann brother who was kidnapped and raised by a bird (before he returned the favor by killing and eating it)) took over the company and began making robots that run on money in order to replace the TF2 mercs we all know and love

Strong winter snowstorms and blizzards commonly produce lightning strikes, a phenomenon referred to as 'thundersnow'. Lightning and thunder can occur with any type of winter precipitation - including snow, sleet ('thundersleet') and freezing rain. Thundersnow requires very strong upward vertical air movement within a winter storm, and is usually associated with highly baroclinic low pressure systems with a source of warmer air (not necessarily above freezing) wrapping into the storm. Just for Reference :D

Yeah. The game mode is not hard but 2 things to keep in mind. 1) Its game meta is a bit different. Weapons that suck in the main game can be good in Man vs Machine and visa versa. For example The Brass Beast a Heavy Mini Gun with a really slow rev up time but dose do alot of damage. Generally not good in mutiplayer where you have to move alot. But its awesome agent robots that all come from the same direction. 2) If you play it before unlocking any weapons you will have limited options. Now the default weapons are viable, but Man vs Machine is definitely even more fun with some of the alt load outs especially on harder difficulties.

The "thunderstorm while it's snowing" is meant to be happening due to the robots. It's not even close to realistic, but basically it's meant to be a result of "Robots = Technology, Technology = Electricity, LOTS of Electricity = Storm", even though it doesn't make sense given several factors that the chat has gone into detail with, specifically with "what they're powered by".

MvM is absolutely worth it to play. If you've got a group of friends (6 maximum per game) available, a game can take roughly 20 minutes (if you've got a lot of experience) or a good bit longer, running in some cases up to half an hour (if irl issues happen, disconnects and reconnects due to wifi etc.) and it really pushes the limit of "How well do I work together in a team, and how well can I trust my team?" The Boot Camp is worth going through for training, and also good for trying out different builds/equipment you use against opponents. Mann Up mode, upon doing a "tour" across several different maps (some are the same, just the enemies you fight show in different waves) will give you rewards, such as Killstreak weapon kits, parts (per Mann Up ticket used (you have to pay for each one)) to make those Killstreak weapons, "Botkiller" weapons (which has a head of a destroyed Robot attached to it, and is guaranteed Killstreak) and finally, Australium weapons (which are pure gold) Also, should you ever acquire the Golden Frying Pan, expect your inbox to be absolutely flooded with offers. Some people will pay hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars/euros/pounds etc. in terms of items just to have one.

By the way the robots where built by the third mann brother. Gray Mann and his brothers and father founded Mann co. Redmond, Blutarch and Zephenia Mann (I hope thats how you spell it)

Thunderstorm can happen during snowstorm and was know to happen in mid-latitude climates in the US. So like alaska maybe.

I believe (and this is simplified) the Uncanny valley happens when our conscious mind recognize something, but our subconscious mind don't... or is picking up on the small things that are wrong. It happens when you get really close to something looking real. The closer it get, the more uncomfortable it can feel some times.

Also people usually forget that when you see a thunderbolt, you don't hear it immediately (unless It banged in a point blank range), because sound is much slower than light.
