To answer your question about medics ability, yes. In team fortress 2, medics ult, the übercharge, can be used on more than just heavy. In game, it allows for both medic, and the teamate he uses it on (for example heavy) to become invincible for 8 seconds

Here’s a tip from an amateur historian and reenactor of the People’s Army of Vietnam and the Viet Minh (Viet Cong is actually a derogatory term)- Meat was not necessarily out of the question but it is pretty unlikely it would be pork belly. It would more likely be something foraged, be that fish, small game, or even Elephants on occasion. Also unless they were VERY well supplied the pickled vegetables would have been decently rare. All that being said, this was a great and well informed video, especially from someone almost entirely outside of context.
