I thought the accusation change was bad but it stacks really well with Handgunners/Stirland's Revenge. Accuse a block of opponent's heavy infantry, have your gunpowder and witch hunter shoot at it, and they absolutely melt.

That was an awesome battle, i can feel the work behind this video and love the strategy of the empire player. But, i have to say, empire could get a slight buffs to something in their roster. All games are so so close. Look at this one, the empire played this game so well and ends up with a 95hp steam tank and a 10% hp Gelt :/

does armor effect EVERY missile spell? like amber spear? also interesting thing about the spectral units. when they die. their sprites dont dissapear. what happens to them is they are upside down under the ground. i was playing vampirates and had some sireens on a wall and they just were hanging under the ramparts. it was funny.

You kind of explained it in your comment, from a lore/realism perspective it doesn't make sense. But Bretonnia was widely considered a bad faction, and Pox Arrows were terrible because they couldn't shoot into anything without also debuffing your own troops, so CA buffed them so that wouldnt happen anymore. I'm ok with it I guess

I don't understand how an unbreakable fodder unit needs another buff? If anything peasants should've been made cheaper. Also a fantastic play by the Empire player. Yes Accusation going away was fantastic. The' most cancerous game in WH1 was Mannefred on a hellsteed (the fastest flyer at the time) FateBjunna/Spirit Leeching your lord in the first minute.

Purely mechanically, its pretty fun, easy, and quick to play. Not the most advanced miniatures game, but works for its intended demographic well. But as a setting? It's complete and utter garbage.

Anyone els think the vampire counts are just ok? I played them a bit and they just don’t seem all that super I mean they have no range units yes but they should make up for it in melee right? Their melee units are subpar and cab isn’t too bad but isn’t special either. They seem just ok to me

Technically speaking the Vc win by attrition and routing your foes you stick units that hold them in place like zombies and grave guard then proceed to use flying vargheist units or cav to ram em from behind dropping their morale along with the fear and terror they create using bats and zombie summons to tie up range and artillery so your front can fear shatter the melee troops.

I don't get why people call undead units unbreakable. Unbreakable units stand and fight untill killed. Undead units can just die without being directly hit, basically scared to death, that's even worse than routing. Also hey, cycle-charging with a chariot at the end, some 'special' people consider it to be cheesy and game mechanics abuse, right?

Its not worse than routing, Crumbling is objectively better. Its one of the big reasons why Vamps and Vampire Coast have been at the top of the meta for so long, the fact that their units will stand and fight even when their morale is hurting. The second a normal unit breaks and runs, if ANYTHING is able to give chase that unit will never come back to the field, their fighting is done. Not so with the undead, so when you combine that with an immunity to fear and terror, it makes their front lines and meatshields the longest lasting in the game on a per model cost basis

You have to commit a unit to chase off routing enemy one, with undead you just wait till they fall without doing anything special. And routing units run for safety and later return, acting somewhat like a reserve. Undead just die ant that's it. Last time I battled as Vampire Coast against Lizardmen and yes, I was able to chase off a bastiladon with bats, but I had to commit bats, what if it were dire wolfs or mournghouls needed elsewhere? Undead unit would just die on the spot, losing health just because. And lizard units coming back from routing were a bane of my existence. Nobody returns for the undead. Maybe that's just my experience. But yes, in my experience crumbling is no good.
