For over a month my mom would have the Christmas cds ready to go. It was music on the sound system mostly on weekends when the work week was over, baking, crafts, football. Christmas eve and Christmas day was nothing but music. Year after year... my mom passed away in 2016 but every year I continue the tradition even if my girlfriend and her kids get tired of hearing it 😂

It's just not Christmas without Mannheim Steamroller. At 70 it takes a lot to get into the spirit, lots of losses. Always feel great when listening. Really relate to the music, former Band Director (middle school) retired. Still playing though, waiting for the" all clear". Hang in there!

I understand but if you remember the real reason you will not have sadness. I learned that you can have joy if you are alone, if you are in prison, going through a divorce what ever the situation I remind myself that the greatest person was born for our salvation. I had a Christmas with no money and my family not speaking to me. I had to tell my daughter that morning there would be no toys. To this day she says that was her best Christmas. When you get older I think it is harder but be gentle to your heart and don’t let it break. I lost my mother and father too but don’t add up the losses it’s too painful. Plus the joy and blessings are greater in number.

A few years ago, Manheim Steamroller came to town, and I just HAD to go. My wife kept insisting that she had no clue who they were, then we're at the concert and she kept saying "Oh, I know this one! I remember this! This is who does that song?! Etc" Anyways, it was a great show.
