Best Government decision. I travelled several times in Air-India, I never had a good experience when comparing with other airlines. TATA must replace all lazy, rude and noncooperative employees as soon as possible. Stop free travel program for employees, there will be several free travelers on every plane, some discount is fine. Re-train all employees on customer service (not self service). The employees do not want passengers to fly on Air India so that they can fly free. I Know, an AIR INDIA ex-employee, who retired over 25 years ago, still coming to USA with his wife every year for free in AIR INDIA. Air India charged me about $250 in Chicago for laptop, camera and my own purse as excess luggage (free on other airlines). If you argue, either you will get to pay more or you will be denied to fly.
