Mans Search for Happiness (1986)

This is the second remake of the 1964 classic, after the 1970 Japanese version. Richard L. Evans' original English narration was retained, making this production primarily an updating in terms of production design, although the Studio's technical proficiency had increased as well. The fact that such a remake was deemed necessary testifies to the importance of the film in the eyes of the Church.

If you use Firefox for your browser there's a addon called download helper that allows you to download KZbin videos. It doesn't work with all videos, but it does work most of the time.

Diana Farthing I bought mine from the church distribution center in Midvale, UT. It is the first part in Phase I of the Home and Family Collection. There are three videos on this DVD, and ten on the Phase II DVD. I am not sure if there are more DVD’s in the Home and Family Collection or not, but these two are what they had at the time. You can see if they are available through your church online store.

@@channapender740 The original was shown in 1964 at the New York World’s Fair Mormon Pavilion here in Flushing, Queens, & by 1981 was available on cassette. Love this video. The dialogue of the earlier versions is still the same. Thanks for posting.
