This is probably the greatest and most rebellious music video in history. If there was one video that defined Mansun as a band it would be this. Utterly brillant.

Not seeing Mansun live is one of my greatest regrets. Come back to us Paul and Chad we want your talent, you're a great loss.

Just have Attack of the Grey Lantern on repeat for about 3 years like I did when it came out. It’s a tragedy it all imploded but that’s life.

I was 'in' that video. One of the people scrabbling around on the floor for free money obv, I made several hundred pounds out of that :) Today is the first time I have ever seen the video - happy memories

I do love the track,a lot. but. the video is in a league of its own. wonder if Dom Jolly was taking notes, Thanks for posting, good to see the singer giving his approval, id always thought the band weren't keen on it.

dont see why they couldnt have given the money away somewhere where the people who use the station would get more benefit from it. Liverpool street station is the mainstop for Londons banking community.

Exactly, that was the whole point. Filming financial workers in their suits scrabbling around the filthy floor grabbing piles of cash. The perfect metaphor.

Taken from The KLF's "The KLF Burn A Million Quid"? Still a great idea, in a new context. Kinda. But still, The KLF did it better: THEY BURNED A MILLION QUID. Not 25,000. A MILLION. And they didn't give it away. They burned it. Now that's art.

If that's truly your only response to their art, then you don't understand the nature of their statement. "People are dying in the world" is the knee-jerk reaction. Every caring person will think that immediately upon hearing about the burning of the money. Now get past that initial emotional response and think about the true implications of the act and what they were saying about the world and the values we hold.

@justinwiggy Thanks for setting me straight. I thought the burning of a million pounds sterling was art; but now I've completely revised my entire opinion based on your effortlessly NON-limp argument. And I knew it was the K Foundation, but nobody knows who the K Foundation is. Whereas people have actually heard of The KLF, which is why I said The KLF. Der.

@pyenapple It was the K Foundation (Same people...different art) that burned the million and it was rather dull. This has nothing to do with it. This is a promo for a pop song. They have taken the budget for the promo and tossed it and filmed the reaction rather than spending the budget on a flash video. The K foundation thing was trying to be art for arts sake. not very exciting stuff. Money: A major body of cash would have been art...the burning was just boring
