When Jules said, "They just don't wanna be with you." Wawu...I felt that one..what I have learned is not to tie my self worth to a partner or a relationship. When relationships end we often ask ourselves, what's wrong with me, was I not enough, am I not worthy of love? I have learned to say , he doesn't love me and that has nothing to do with me or my worth... I am inherently worthy.

There is a lot that Jules has gone through and you can tell with how introspective and expressive she is. I genuinely wish her well in her love life. She deserves a man who'll take her and all that she comes with and MOST importantly make her feel safe like she is used to from the men in her life.

Heart break doesn’t immunize you against future heartbreaks.it just equips you to be conscious about red flags in future relationships as well as recognize the need to get up and keep it moving if it happens again.it basically quickens recoil in future situations.

I remember my last heartbreak 4 years ago. For two months I would just find myself having random meltdowns. I would find myself shedding tears walking on the streets, in the office, at home doing chores. For some reason I couldn't control the pain, and it was a constant that I lived with for those two months. And then one morning I just woke up and just like that, all that pain was gone. My character development was complete!!!

I'm with Lornzie. Love with your head and prioritze yourself and your needs. Know what you want out of a relationship and constantly assess if you are getting it. If you've asked and observed and given time (2 weeks to 2 months) and you know this is who the person is and they are comfortable in whatever they are doing and not willing to adjust for you, well, you moove. It only hurts when you lose yourself and compromise yourself and give too much time to a situation you hoped you could handle. To heal, you don't look at the other person. You forgive yourself and remember the lesson!

I remember in 2018 when I had my heart broken 😞. I became a shell for a good 2 months, luckily I was unemployed coz if I had a job I would have been fired. The pain is indescribable but it is so intense, I had episodes of rage, despair, sobbing…. Thinking about it, I would not wish that on anybody. Just like Lornzie’s mum, my mum told me, ‘I pray for you, but I don’t know what’s happening to you. Only you can tell God how you are felling, go to Him yourself….’ I woke up the next morning got on my knees and had a serious prayer. When I finished the feeling went away just like that🥰

Eli, I will say a prayer on your behalf for you not to get a heartbreak. May you meet the love of your life, marry them, live happily ever after and die in each other's arms. May God protect your heart from a heartbreak.

But heartbreak is B.R.U.T.A.L. It gives you another level of character development you cannot learn anywhere else. That is when you come face to face with a level of indescribable pain and darkness. Somewhat similar to the pain of losing someone through death. When you have loved someone completely and wholeheartedly with no restrictions and it finally ends, it takes a supreme being to get you out of that darkness!!! I mourned an ex for a year (they went on and got married and re-located *rolls eyes*) and everyday I prayed to God to get me out of that place and just give me strength . Yaani heartbreak.. wacha tu. But that is the interesting thing about love, the highs are really high, and the lows..man.... I am glad I finally found the one God had molded and kept for me

I had someone who was my "calories"....the heartbreak was so bad I couldn't function.I had to quit my job. But as Jules said you have to accept that maybe that person hasn't moved on they just don't want to be with you. So I'm glad I processed & accepted & I'm in a good place now. To someone who is heartbroken, hugs. You'll be okay.

First time watching Mantalk.. 1. I really love the conversation with the girls. 2. I wish to concur with @Eli belief that one doesn't have to be heartbroken to learn from rshps. The reasons why heartbreaks exist for majority of people is exactly what you guys are talking about incompatibility / mismatches and lack of self awareness by the two. If everyone in the world had a some level of self awareness they would go for the their counterparts..and not allow to settle for less than they can handle. And the high quality material should be willing to compromise for the less quality material if they decide to settle for the other and vice versa.

I feel like if you truly loved someone, you weren't infatuated with them, you won't feel bad if they go, cause i feel like real love never dies ,it evolves, infatuation is like burning dry grass, it's super strong at first, but it ends with time, when you love someone, their happiness is your priority, it's not how they make you feel that will always make you happy, your happiness comes from seeing them happy

Maybe Eli has never been in Love, or allowed himself to be in love..that's why he has never been heartbroken. Either that or his attachment style is secure.. maybe he is so self aware and knows his self worth to the point that he cannot let anyone affect his emotions.

Heartbreaks totally suck. Learning to live without this person is a damn skill, you need to unlearn so much. The beautiful memories you created now come back as torture and so much trauma more so if you guys broke up on things neither you can change about each other. This is a reality you have to live every day and a constant reminder of no matter how good it was, you need to move on yet the moving on itself comes eventually it ain't forced. So many people force it and end up bringing baggages into other relationships. Jules and Oscar I totally feel you. I reasonated so much with this episode 👍

Eli, you don't have to experience heartbreak . And for me being intentional about ur next relation being the last IS good Idea. Not every one learn from heartbreak. Some of us learn by our parents experiences, Friends relationship or our own grouth, knowing yourself better. How thé last generation was doing ? they didn 't need heartbreak to learn, So it's possible. I Never have my Heart broken toi and don't intend to. My next relationships IS thé last one 😉. So keep going bruh!!!

I have had traumatising things happened to me in relationships but I don't think I've been in love so I can see where Eli is coming from. I think because I've been socialised to believe love comes with marriage so I've never allowed myself to fall in the relationship.

I feel like Oscar ran away from his emotions at that time and he never got to work with it, accept that his ego too was severely bruised and grow from that. Rather he created a different personality to protect his innermost self. There's this saying of you need to accept the failures of life, allow yourself to grieve, walk with it learn from it Allow yourself to heal from it which people usually don't and get back 10×better
@ManTalkKe

This comment is the one that I have been waiting for! When hurt a lot of us create separate personalities to protect ourselves from the pain. This comes off often as a projection of our ego and false persona. My personal experience was that it was very self destructive. I did this for a long time, until I began to unpack the pain and loss and it put me on a healthier and abundant path. Great reaction!⚡ - O.

Couldn't have said it any better...i too created a fake persona I became what i initially believed never to be a version of me...but untill i unloaded the pain and baggage i carried along i realised it did change me to a more emotionally matured woman and I knew my worth...if you dont allow yourself to feel the pain and learn from the process you will forever be in similar situations and breaking the "new you" will be hell!!!!!never change the good parts of you to hide your pain and ego....it will be worth it one day trust me!!!

I'm hearing two young women shaming other women for being in polygamous relationships and the answer had to be something is wrong with them🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 2022 guys, and what responsibility goes to those men for cheating? Why can't they be the lazy ones to work on their marriage and are looking for an easy way out? Why can't we say it's cause the men are unhappy but society has tied success to marriage so they find it hard to leave openly? In my opinion, those ladies have decided to be happy inspite of popular beliefs! Lazy my black , African a**!!!

I think on why women are okay being the other women, there's no definite answer. 1. The lifestyle. If there's a man who can provide for you things that you can't afford yet you desire. 2. Being okay with bare minimum. No one has ever given you the attention or the care you deserve so you give up & take anything as long as a small percentage of your needs are met. 3. Emphasis on SEX as a need instead of a want. Women are okay to be with men just for SEX. CC I'm super jealous to share a man.

There is the "other woman" who chooses that because they don't want the man for longterm, just for now. So they don't necessarily need pity, as more often than not, they do get what they signed for: the man when he wants to enjoyment (a.k.a. the happy, ATM, fun version of the man) while the main woman, who does the heavy lifting gets the moody "feels nagged when talked to" version of the man. So really, the side woman doesn't always get the raw deal.
