A 10-12mm game is perfect, and I'll definitely get into Warpath at that scale.

Agree as 15mm big tertian is still exspensive. Go 12 or 10mm

Depends of the price tag though.

For really big games, that scale size makes sense when you want to put whole regiments and giant robots on the battle field.

under scaled vehicles is a terrible idea.

Looking forward to this small scale Warpath

I'm very excited to see this. All I ask is that the vehicle bases are separate and not molded on.

10mm "scale" and not GW (read playable ruleset from an organisation listening to the community) leaves me smiling.

Really interesting. I’m still having fun with Deadzone.

Would prefer the vehicles to be the same scale as the infantry rather than slightly smaller. Just looks jarring to me

Agree vehicles should be the same scale

No one plays this in my area either, but I plan on collecting multiple armies for both KoW and Warpath, and introducing friends to it!

A sprue that has 1 of everything on it and you probably get 10 of them for 50€ is going to blow Epic charging 40€ for 4 tanks out of the water. But don't you dare not make Veermyn by wave 2 at the latest

Hell yes to 10-12mm 👍👍👍👍👍👍

if 15mm make it foot to eye 15mm so it fits most all other 15mm lines, or to 6-8 mm. 10-12 is just odd.

Never heard of Dropship Commander? It's 10mm and there is tons of available scenery for it.

Mantic Games is still around?!
@jeremyherndon2974 Жыл бұрын
Sorry I just don't have any desire to play at a scale that is outside of 28MM so this game isn't for me. I see no reason that it couldn't of stayed at the larger scale and been Mantic's version of Apocalypse. If these become a vault release unless I can easily scale them for use with Deadzone and Firefight these will cause me to stop supporting the Vault.

The problem, as they said, is that at 28mm it becomes limited to an 'event' game and not something you can just easily fight in an evening whenever you feel like. The only real way to make manageable massive battles with 28mm minis is to do what historical games do where a single mini represents a group of soldiers instead of a single soldier. The trouble is that larger units, like vehicles, will take up a disproportional amount of space, even if one mini represented a group of them. There's also the fact that super-huge units just aren't all that practical or affordable to field at 28mm. Plus, at 28mm most weapons shouldn't have a maximum range. Given how far a real-life modern military rifle can fire, you should have a chance to hit anyone, anywhere on the table, as long as you have line of sight. At 28mm, a 6'x4' table represents an area 144 x 96 yards or meters, meaning it's not that much larger than a football field or pitch and less than 200 yards from corner to corner. Most military rifles have an effective range of more than double that and can shoot several times their effective range when needed. But even before the new Warpath announcement, and the one from that other company, there was already growing support in the general wargaming community for large battle games featuring smaller scale miniatures. Especially these days as 3d sculpting allows those smaller scale minis to have vastly better sculpts than in the past when everything had to be sculpted by hand. Plus there's the added benefit that you have armies that cost less to buy, use less supplies to prepare (paint, basing materials, etc...), and are much easier to store and transport. 28mm is fine for skirmish games and even platoon level games (like Firefight). But at a certain point, it's just really impractical to play battles over a certain size at that larger scale.

Not sure why, if they are adding more, would it stop you using the vault when you know it willl still have content for all their other 28mm range, that feels like cutting off your nose to spite your face
@jeremyherndon2974 Жыл бұрын
@@Torkijo that’s not true at all we have barely received anything for Deadzone just basically 8 models over a 4 month period while Armada a game I have no desire to play has 5 fleets of ships. Adding a second game which I do want will make it even less appealing to me. It is already the most expensive STL provider with the least value I support.
@Torkijo Жыл бұрын
@@jeremyherndon2974 Fair enough, the Armada support is great for players of that game but I would hope more Deadzone/Firefight stuff to come. In the video he talked of just scaling doen the 28mm files so could see you being in luck if they go that route
