Reptilian-Sumo-Samurai Sounds like a Cartoon I would watch. 😁

Useful. I’ve been painting up some GCPS stuff and done some KZbin vids actually but have been wondering about another faction and liked the look of the Matsudan and Asterians.

The Matsudan rules are available in the Deadzone 2020 update download on Mantic's site. It is in the Free Rules section under Deadzone Escalation: FAQ and Errata.

I knew they were out there somewhere. Going to have to download them. I gotta sit down and play Deadzone one of these days. I learned the rules for both editions and just never got it on the table yet, sadly.

@@ObscuritiesinMiniature the second edition core rules are free on the website as well. Escalation has expanded and updated lists, but it is not a free download. DZ is one of the few miniature games I play. It is pretty beer and pretzels, as far as mini games go, but I love how easy it is to pick up and play, especially the simplicity of the adding or removing dice mechanic to modify rolls for height, cover, size, having buddies, etc... Each contest is I roll, you roll, most successes wins. No rolls to hit, rolls to wound, rolls to save, rolls to see which person brought the most d6 that day, then put down 15 tokens and, an hour later, "OK, your turn". It is a skirmish where every bullet counts, the minis are cheap (if sometimes cheaply made), 10 minutes a round is the norm, and the fluff (to me) is interesting enough to differentiate the factions with plenty of viable options for list building. The command dice provide some flexibility when in a tight spot, and the Nameless have a Goliath that the rules committee added to the game just because they wanted to shoehorn a giant into 3" cube terrain. Speaking of, the DZ specific terrain is the only part that is a money sink. But with projects like the Isolation Protocol Kickstarter and an FDM printer, even that becomes less of a barrier to entry.

Interesting you have made comparison with Dread ball figures. I have Dread ball and love it. I think it’s future should definitely following dead zone/fire fight style. I see the unboxing for the starter sets of those two and people are excited by them. Not so much with dread ball. Fingers crossed they go hobbyist with dread ball and chunkier figures/artwork board etc. good vid. Thanks for show off

Teratons come in two sizes. I have 2 of the smaller ones which I think are the males (one metal model and one from Star Saga).
@ObscuritiesinMiniature4 жыл бұрын
Correct- females were the bigger ones (like the deadzone one and the plague-d version). I think the metal one was from Infestation. All I've painted was the larger Rebs one so far. :(

I'd love to see some plastic troop options for them rather than have to use the Asterian drones. Who wants drones when you can have alien reptile sumo brawlers?
