Vadakkan keralathil specially vadakara kuttiadi etc regions non veg is must on onam , you can literally see big queue infront of slaughter houses early as the morning. Its a part of our culture, either rich sadhya with fish ,chicken ,mutton, or biriyani out of , with the payasam etc delight, its about having the most richest most tastiest food to be served, and not for disguising the purity of onam, its form before and may continue

I believe, if there is a sculpture of Maveli and Vamanan in thamilnadu, the south indian states of Kerala and Thamilnadu was a single nation which is ruled by a great dravidian great King Maveli. And the so called brahmanic identity "vamanan" defeated our king using a different tactics. And the mythology says, during Maveli's reign there was equality everywhere. Yeah, it's just because in dravidian concepts there is no caste systems. Caste system is a brahmanic construct. What do you think guys!!!!!!

Why people has so many doubts about mahabali??? Just read the sacred texts like Rig Veda! Mahabali is stated in Puranic literature to be the great-great grandson of Kasyap and Diti great-grandson of Hiranyakashipu (son of Diti, defeated by the Narasimha avatar) grandson of Prahlada and son of Virochana. He was known as a daitya king defeated by the Vamana avatar of mahavishnu.

what manu said is right, as cities are becoming increasingly monotonous and this facet is subduing diversity , eroding distinct markers of geographical spaces. Kerala as an example is stretching itself to a homogeneous entity where its famed variegated diversities seen along the winding roads are gradually erased from collective memories. The anchor tries very hard to pull a few rhetoric excesses (though expected), blunting the intent of the debate.
