I like to put two sprockets on the rear with a spacer between them and use a front mountain bike derailleur to switch between the two, and then I use a spring-loaded chain tensioner under the lower part of chain

Wow! Back in 68 we had a mini bike with an automatic clutch. The Briggs was hinged at the frame with pulleys and a belt. There was a flat bar bolted to the head that went through a slot attached to the frame and a notch to engage. It went pretty good for what it was.

After having one for 3, or 4 years, the biggest problem I had was the bearing going out on the output sprocket.

I honestly just use a v-belt clutch like a lawnmower has. I treat mine like a car and it basically responds like a car. Built 724cc twin has no issues putting 50+ hp thru a proper belt setup. 😎 Belts are way cheaper to.

There is no slipping this clutch like you do with every other clutch. It’s a toggle switch. No such thing as a slow, non-aggressive take off from a stop. If you don’t want to stall it you have to rev it up pretty high and dump the clutch for a hard drag race style launch, giving even more throttle as you start moving. Definitely not for beginners and not really for pit bikes for cruising the camp site or passing around among your friends to ride around the yard. Such a shame, I wish there were something available that engages smooth like a common dirt bike, motorcycle or quad clutch. Build quality is good though and it looks cool. And you totally can bump start/roll start it.
@janky.two12873 жыл бұрын
Can you bump start with it? Might be cool for a Lemans style start.
@megoingfast3 жыл бұрын
If you are on asphalt or concrete that has no debris, and proper gearing: it is possible. I played with it, just dragged the mini bike around more than anything, scraping up the rear tire. Killing engine while going then reengaging the clutch makes the bike skid in an unstable way. Fun with the kart though.
@Contentdeleted49636 ай бұрын
Do you press the clutch in and it goes or you let go of it and then it engages?
@jojojeep1 Жыл бұрын
How do you think it would work on a 12 inch mini bike tire and a 4 to 1 gear ratio
@igokarts45103 жыл бұрын
Totally off subject but don't you have a plasma cutter or laser table you can program cut on? The reason I ask is Judson made a supercharger for vw's back in the day that is a fairly simple design that could easily be scaled and fabricated with said machine.

Hey man, I bought a BT200 this summer and have a question about the tolerance for the driveshaft play. How much is too much? Mine has a noticeable amount and I think I can hear it shimmying around when it's running (if it's not the torque converter clutch mechanism) I did change the crankshaft out for a 3/4, but it had this play even with the OE one too. Any insight would be great. Thanks!

There should be a 1"-shaft version, that can handle the load of 23+ horsepower and about 600-lbs of weight. (Me, on a 625-cc mini-bike built to support my "girth"...!😕)

Whoa, what happened to this channel? I hope that you are alright. I know you had brain surgery so I'm quite concerned. I hope that you are well, my friend. I really wish families would give a status of situations. I've seen it before with a bushcraft channel. The only way that I found out that the creator had passed on was from another bushcraft channel. Please let us know. This way we can give our proper condolences is to know. Otherwise, we are left with questions. I know that this can be incredibly difficult. So, I just don't know how to feel. I hope you ALL are well. Much love 🙁

No doubt its a great product. Not practical for the average enthusiast. Cant beat Juggernaut on a 30 series tav. GPS just needs to get a 40 series jugger ricky tick.
@BubbaB432 жыл бұрын
The juggernaut is based off the comet 780 drive clutch, my point is obviously your engine has a 1" crankshaft therefore just run a 780 setup. I have both the 40 series and 780 series torque converters and I've had less issues and more reliability and belt longevity from the 780 torque converter.

@megoingfast2 жыл бұрын
Not with 19-20" wheels and non-built engine without improved cam and good low end torque. I would see a danger in stalling out at the wrong time. Other drivers may not see you properly or know how to react to you. I've seen enough with full sized motorcycles I'd always recommend something out there that has less chance to put someone in a position of danger.
