Always AMT. I have used AMT cars on all surfaces with maximum load. They are the best, that is the reason it the preferred mostly by Gulf and western countries. It is also good on hilly areas and boon for heavy traffic conditions.

Good video. Valuable information. I am 40 years old. I have switched over to automatic after 10 years of manual driving. Agreed that manual was fun to drive with control. But with automatic, feel more relaxed and comfortable. Before I used to have pain in my left arm while driving long distances due to changing gears frequently. Now my one leg and hand is free. This makes a lot of difference in driving bumper to bumper traffic and hilly congested roads. Better to think smart. Also I have been driving in many gulf countries and there almost all the vehicles are automatic. Hardly I see any manual vehicle moving on the road. Even while giving the driving test in Kuwait, all the vehicles were automatic.

As per me u should buy a manual car because if u buy a automatic car and u just have practice of driving a automatic car so if u need a car in an emergency and u just have a manual car so u cant drive that car............Whereas manual car it would be somewhat tough while driving that car in driving school but after some practice it would be easy and even u can drive a automatic car easily....so in the end i want to say is that u should buy manual car

Excellent, but ohi ek galati. In uphill u r right, but in downhill automatic gear always shift to higher gear according to its speed, and then only option to slow down the car is braking > which results severe heat in disc/ drum causes damage of valve of brake cylinder and leaking brake oil > brake fail > life threatening condition. But in other hand, in manual transmission, we always use low gear for auto braking. Thus why we prevent brake failure.

Just one point to add. I have a Fortuner Automatic Transmission and other two cars with manual transmission, Wagon R and Honda City. Car with Automatic Transmission is easier to drive forward. But when we drive it in reverse, it is I easy, especially on climb. It will not move without using accelerator but by accelerator it will move in more than desired speed because of steep it needs more power hence no use of brakes.

People who are habituated with manual car feel uncomfortable with automatic car. In city area, automatic car has no alternative. Aged people feel it more. In India, manual cars are sold mostly, not in abroad. Automatic cars are more fuel efficient because it changes gear exactly in right time. I have been driving an AMT car more than four years, I faced no problem so far. One drawback I have heard from my service agent that the car can not be started with out battery i.e. by pushing the car.

Yes, automatic is certainly very good. But I do find one issue when climbing up Hill's and specially when it's fully loaded. There's lack of power or reduced power. This is my experience. Let me know if anyone has better experience and how he achieved it. With 2 person inside never faced issue but with 4 person pick up is poor and it lags
