My case..I started with Management Optional, since I am from Commerce background. But after reading for 2 months I realised that we were taught in a completely different manner in college and that was a matter of concern....I was a very good scorer in management subjects in clg but still felt stressful studying Management Optional for upsc...so I considered changing the optional because I won't be able to complete everything on time and that would be a burden for the GS papers too.

As I've really reasearched a lot on the OPTIONAL for the mains i did see a video of yours WHICH WAS DATED 6 YEARS AGO on ANUJ JINDAL's youtube channel suggesting 12 books for 12 subjects from both the papers.. sir please reply It was my 1st mains and 2nd attempt this year . I think I was not good at my geography optional and whenever I try to improve it , I get demotivated . It's paper 2 is getting too much current affairs based and it becoming difficult for me to make it geographical. I am thinking to change it . What should I do . Also would be good to choose anthropology at this stage if I get interest in the subject after reading it. Some people saying that it is also becoming more applied and more people are opting for it

Sir please resolve my doubt regarding optional Sir i qualified jee advanced with good marks in chemistry but due to my bad rank couldn't get any old iit ,so currently pursuing BSC chemistry hons from Hansraj College ,Delhi University . And currently i am in 5th sem and my attempt is in 2025 ....sir should I go with chemistry optional or should I first complete some gs portion then decide? I have seen pyqs and syllabus of chemistry and felt pretty confident but due to lack of selection from chemistry optional i am a bit hesitant....
