Many MGM Resorts’ Slot Machines Shut Down Amid Cyberattack

Chaos in Las Vegas continues following a cyberattack that targeted 12 hotels owned by MGM Resorts. At the MGM Hotel there are still signs posted warning customers of unforeseen difficulties. The cyber assault led to many slot machines shutting down and gamblers who wanted to cash out having to do it manually. A cyber crime organization, known as Scattered Spider, reportedly demanded a ransom from MGM.

Everyone should have their credit frozen at Trans Union, Equifax and Experian. I had Identity Theft and Fraud 7 years ago and froze my credit then and I have a pin for each angency and I am the only one who can open my credit when I want. Then freeze it again. Luckily the fraud 7 years ago never affected my FICA credit score. None of the credit card scams went thru but they have all my info including Social Security number. Once they have your name, address, date of birth and Social Security number the will have it forever and even sell it to others so it will be out there until you Die and beyond. So everyone FREEZE your credit. Its so easy. You can do it online. Once its frozen if someone tries opening credit under your information it will always be denied then the perps go to the next persons info and eventually then open credit. I also did a 7 year Chex systems alert which is the banking side of it. So not one can ever open a bank account or credit union account or get a loan with my name, address, date of birth and Social Security number. If anyone tries I will be alerted and the banks will not open anything for these criminals. I will extend it next year for another 7 years. Shred everything with your name and address and sensitive information too. But these type cyber attacks more than likely will involve 10s of millions of you and your sensitive information in the hands of the bad guys and one day they will get you. 3 out of 5 people experience or will experience fraud and or Identity theft. So take it from someone who knows, Freeze your credit with all 3 major credit agency's. You will be happy you did. If you do not and they open accounts in your name and Social Sec number it can be the biggest nightmare and mess and ruin your credit for years. Once that happens its almost impossible to fix it with the 3 credit agency's.
