I think I see the problem with the simulation. The SNP have access to about 50 seats, leaving 600 for the other parties. Labour an the Tories will each have about 300ish (wide margin of error here) seats, meaning that giving the SNP 5 worms, where the major parties have 8 each, results in the SNP being rather overrepresented.

Not at all. Whatever the winner the SNP will be the third largest party in Westminster. It's a UK election, not just an English one, which many south of the border seem to have a problem understanding.

3rd largest party still doesnt mean that they should be overrepresented, 300/50 = 6 so they should have about a sixth of the largest party, for most realism, it is a UK election and that's exactly why SNP holding basically all of Scotland doesn't actually mean huge amounts. Maybe people north of the border should realise that Scotland holds far less actual sway than they imagine

Vote. Even if you vote for a party that doesn't have a hope with a candidate who dresses as a chicken. Even if it's raining. Go out there and vote. It's the only way they will ever take notice of you. Even if when you get there you can't bear to do anything but draw a cock and balls on the paper, if enough people do it, they will read out the number of spoiled papers and they will notice. That almost seems accurate. May had some good popularity going in, and then just decided "Fuck it, let's bring back killing puppies", and now previously modest to strong pro-Tories are reduced to "She's not Corbyn". So this request to hold Mays beer and/or tea only occured after the call to general election, we can safely conclude.

On one hand you have the Conservatives, who had become so confident they had the election in the bag they decided to announce their support for Fox Hunting, the Dementia Tax, and regulating the internet to a level that would make China jealous. Three policies seemingly designed to piss off three of the largest voting groups (those who like animals, old people, and young people). On the other hand you have Labour, led by a man who's entire economic policy can be summed up by "Spend money like water, it'll all work out in the end, we'll just get some rich guy to pay for it". Jeremy Corbyn, a dyed-in-the-wool socialist who's inner circle contains self-avowed marxists and communists. A man who has promised to take any deal the EU offers him, which will mean that Brexit might as well not have happened in the first place for all the change Britain will see. A man who praises dictators like Castro as "heroes of the people".
