This video reminds me of the one single time I played an Arma game. It was Arma 2, that free demo/whatever on Steam. You could do custom scenarios on it. A friend of mine loaded a scenario where he and I would be a sniper and spotter. We had to walk towards a tall building, climb up to the rooftop, spot the target, take him out and proceed to extraction. It was 20 minutes of a slow crawl towards the building (to stay hidden in the grass) Some 15 minutes clearing the building and setting up for the kill Couple more spotting the target. Then, the sniping. And more than a half-hour walk towards the extraction, under a bridge, skirting a road, in a forest, lots of different terrains. And it was so much FUN. Never played again because my rig is really bad (and at that time, so was my internet connection)

Great tip for fast shots on moving targets. Count out loud, as fast you can distance per 100m. So if target is 500m count 1...2....3...4...5 really fast. Then measure the distance the target travelled using the mildots in the reticle, and hold that amount infront :). Then adjust accordingly when you have used it some time and learn if you count too fast, too slow or just right. I count out loud and not only in my head because I count faster in my head, so out loud is more accurate. Usable in all games with somewhat realistic bullet speeds out to about 800m I would say.

Your issue with sniping is the magnification scale on that scope. When you miss a shot on lower magnification, and then try to correct it on higher magnification, there is the tendency to over estimate.

You have to remember at that range, the bullets are actually diving down on the enemy, it doesn't shoot 100% flat trajectory like hitscan.
