Strangely enough, over the weekend, we purchased a cast iron plant stand in Cox Creek. It belonged to the grandmother of the owner. It turned out her family owned the Maple Hill property and operated the foster children's home at that location. She told us the stand had always been there from her first memories and her grandma topped it with flowers. It came with the family when they moved from Maple Hill. Really enjoyed this one, Barry, and the food looked great. The Civil War history was excellent. History, no matter what, should be embraced and not feared or held with disdain. Thanks!

The Baxter's!!!!! Yes, I am sure they told you their parents owned it from about 1978-1988, give or take. They ran a Boys Foster home out of here. I would have loved to have known them. The daughter and granddaughter have shared letters with us from the boys that went through here, sharing with the Baxter's just how much of an impact they had on their lives.

Being a KZbin viewer in the United States for nearly 20 years and a connoisseur of comments, I can tell you that trolls originated from Norwegian folktakes circa the 13th century; I hear they have been known to lurk in the catacombs of 'Ole Paris'. You must be out of your Bougie mind to think true vintage furniture pieces were resting in a B&B in rural Kentucky. I'm willing to bet the French Eggs weren't accurate Haute Cuisine as well.
