@@Pikabo0 Under what motion? hardly anyone I've met who actually cares about this anthem accepts the watered down revisionist lyrics, and almost every performance I've heard outside of these few lame events uses Muir's lyrics. It would be like changing the deep and passionate lyrics of La Marseillaise to happy pastures and rainbows.

At the end, it references one of my favourite musicals, the 'Remember My Forgotten Man' sequence from Gold Diggers of 1933. To be honest, though, I'd rather just have the leggy chorus girls on stage than be subjected to Michael Buble's moose-like bellowing and murdering of swing.

this was not "our old anthem". prior to o'canada, canadas only anthem has EVER been god save the king/queen. it was just a popular song. just like how rule britannia was never the anthem in the UK, just a popular tune. He has every right to make his own version of it. not to mention, there has never even been an official version of the song, multiple forms of it already existed prior to buble doing this.
