The Leafs Power Play has not been the same since Spencer Carbery was plucked away to be the Capitals head coach. Team's usually don't like holding coaches back, but it has been several seasons since his departure and the have not found a suitable replacement. Are you telling there are no coaches out there watching the Leafs dreadful PP and not thinking... "hmmm, I bet I can make that $50,000,000 Power play click. It's so frustrating seeing them waste the whole 2 minutes and not even set it up for a quality chance. Teams shoild be fearing their Power play and they don't.

I really believe the pp coach needs to be replaced !!! Half way thru the season and it's getting worst!!!

I was excited for Savy in the off-season but he just isn't it. People also mentioned how he was not that great in St. Louis and he definitely has more fire power in Toronto. Maybe it's time for a new PP coach.

I do not get it why not mix up the group! Mix the stars up more, Tavares and Nylander on pp2 and marner , Matthew's pp1

Relax.... to quote Joe Thornton that one season, "were in fucking 1st place!" The boys clearly had a night in Philly during their Mentors trip. They're allowed to have some fun during the season. After all the partying, they still came out with 2 points. Bag them and move on.

Have you noticed how often the Leafs start on time when Matthews is out vs how often they don't start on time when he is in? Have you noticed how often they are a team of effort when Matthews is out vs how often they are a team that coasts on skill when he is in. Perhaps the guy with the C, you know the highest paid player in the league, should be showing some leadership. You are wrong. The PP hasn't been bad for 42 games. It was bad to start the year, then great the first time that Matthews went out, then when he came back it turned back to shit again and it has stayed that way. There should be two power plays. A Marner PP and a Matthews PP. The PP that scored last is PP1 until the other PP scores. Nylander has been shit since before Christmas. If he isn't on the score sheet he does nothing. The sixth highest paid player shouldn't get to take multi-game vacations in the middle of the season. If he doesn't want to try, put him in the press box and let him relax there.
