I said last year they should try and pick up Flurry.Why moving Samsonov is a good option is his cap hit.Where Flurry is good is he will make the right save at the right time and numbers don't really show that.I don't watch other teams so I don't know enough about other d men.

Leafs need to unload some of their ufa's and restock their draft picks . Dubas has stripped this team of any assets that Treliving could've used to strengthen this lineup

I know he has a no move contract but do you think that the Leafs are even slightly a bit less than thrilled with where he is going to fit going forward? I don't know at all if that has come up but he would bring a big haul that could solve a lot of woes. Like a goalie and a defenceman. Probably not but Just wondering.

Get the 2 stay home D men no flash ok can they do the job and get it done then great do the deal remember years ago when the Leafs had Tod Gill , Dave Elliot , Jamie Mcowan and Rob Rouse not stars but could do the job and they knew there jobs and did them right with very few mistakes That is called DEFENCE !!!!!!

Hanafin plus a goalie. Vladar from the Flames is not too shabby when he gets a chance to play. Treliving knows both of them. He should be able to assess whether Vladar would be a fit or not. If not then take a shot at getting Markstrom. If he moved Marner out it would free up the cap space. Treliving is in a pickle . He needs to do something before the options all get snapped up and there is no one left.

We have the worst Leaf GM ever to thank for this. Dubas absolutely plundered picks and prospects year after year for rentals the team couldn't afford to keep because Dubas blew 50% of the entire budget on 4 top shelf offensive forwards foolishly thinking a team in today's NHL can outscore other teams. So, now Treliving is being attacked for not pulling the trigger, when Dubas left NOTHING to bargain and negotiate with because Dubas had zero concept related to "negotiations", why negotiate when you can simply give players exactly what they wanted plus more!! Why "plus more"? If Dubas understood how ALL negotiations worked, he would have understood the player's agent ALWAYS overinflate their client's value, knowing the team/GM will counter with a low ball number, and negotiations carry on with this back and forth until both sides feels good about the final offer. Dubas had virtually zero negotiation skill, and as such he bankrupted picks and prospects like a drunken sailor on shore leave in Bangkok! Now, because of Dubas' incompetence, some fans, especially those who have no interested in understanding that part of the game, their only consideration is players who don't score two goals a period suck! So, now uninformed fans are attacking Treliving because "HE NEEDS TO MAKE TRADES"!! These fans have no understand that in order to trade you need SOMETHING TO TRADE WITH! These are the clown town armchair apprentices who think they could do a better job that an experienced team GM and all their trade suggestions ARE RETARDED!! They believe other teams are just desperate to trade away their very best players for Leafs garbage!! ULTRA MAROONS! ") Thanks Andrew, another interesting video with REASONABLE trade suggestions. So when the GM gets pushed into a corner like this maybe he should refrain from signing even more high salary goal scorers and get what was really needed like a goalie and a defenceman. Nylander suckedup too much cap money to allow for defence Someone pricey needs to go yo make the required trades possible. Tough.
