Can we use tenses in causitive verbs ?
@mapleleafesl61625 жыл бұрын
We sure can. For instance: I made my sister clean my room...I'm making my sister clean my room...I'm gonna/I'll make my sister clean my room.

Hi Andrew. I wanna make subtitle for your video, but it seems in INACTIVE setting. If you don't mind, you may change the setting so anyone can contribute by providing good subtitle for your video.
@mapleleafesl61626 жыл бұрын
Hello there, do you mean just for this particular video? I have to turn on community settings for each individual video so, with over 100 videos to date on my channel, that would take me a while.
@bukusakufarter6 жыл бұрын
Sure, no problem. I'll make subtitle for this video first, it takes usually one day. Then my draft needs to be reviewed by you. If you are okey, finally you can approve and publish it.
@mapleleafesl61626 жыл бұрын
Okay, I just did it. Thanks.
@bukusakufarter6 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew, it's done! Please check it. I noted some points here: 1) I omitted some words (ex right, okey, so) to maintain reading speed at around 21 characters/sec. So the subtitle is in a good readability and less distraction. 2) Please review the draft, and if you are okey, you may approve and publish it. I like watching your video. I hope I can work to make subtitle for other your videos.

Hii, again excellent explanation. But can i say ? for example : (she made me grazy ) as an expression of negative things .or ( she made me optimistic ) as an expression of positive things . I mean ( make + person + adj )
@mapleleafesl61626 жыл бұрын
I would say the following expressions like this: 'she drives me crazy' and 'she brings out the best in me'. In answer to your question, yes.

If we want to make these causative sentences in passive form...then what would be the sentence structure ....plz reply
@mapleleafesl61627 жыл бұрын
Great question! When using causative verbs in the passive voice, we generally only use 'have' and 'get' (be sure to check out the video I made called 'Causative verbs with 'have' and 'get'). So the sentence, "I had the doctor check my eyes" would become "I had my eyes checked (by the doctor)" in the passive voice. Similarly, the sentence "I got my mother to prepare my lunch" would become "I had my lunch prepared (by my mother)". Hope this answers your question!

Hi! Thanks for the useful lesson!!! I have one question for you. Can we use this structure " make + me + V ing" and why, where?
@mapleleafesl61624 жыл бұрын
Usually when you want this structure in a progressive tense, the 'ing' goes on 'make'. So, for instance, 'He's been making me clean his room'. Hope this helps!

Sir, Make + Person + Base form . But, Make + Thing + ................?
@mapleleafesl61625 жыл бұрын
Regardless of the object used in the middle (person or thing), you would still use a base verb. Great question!
