Characters are less detailed especially the eyes that is the only problem in the whole trailer
@whispertangle413614 сағат бұрын
2:18 the reason she and many other panels were drawn more crudely in the manga is probably due to pressure from deadlines, because fujimoto had to write plans for future chapters and illustrate a whole chapter within a week, so drawing it faster with more freehand lines saved time and reduced stress. Its amazing actually since he still managed to capture her expression almost flawlessly despite this. Fujimoto has more than enough capability to draw reze as shown in the shots for the anime, but due to time pressure he cant make every panel immaculate. Which is why the upcoming movie is absolutely incredible, since it conveys the true emotion fujimoto likely wanted the characters to express in greater detail, giving us the desired raw interactions between characters. But for this specific scene i feel like reze was intended to look more cute than seductive. With the slightly wider eyes to emphasise innocence with the sharp edge to add a layer of “a second face”, and the angle of the flower (which is the main focus) being above her chin, leading to the viewer to focus on her face, drawing us to her cute expression. The flower in the anime is primarily below her chin, empthasising her chest, adding to the seductive appearance. Her “love” towards denji feels more genuine in the manga than the anime from what we’ve seen so far. Personally, I’ve always interpreted her and denji’s relationship as almost a normal childhood/highschool crush rather than a full blown “couple”. If we compare to characters such as makima or himino, who both were clearly presented as seductive and unhealthily toxic (less so himeno, I’m simply referring to the bed scene when i say this), reze was meant to be a breaking point for denji, where he’d understand what falling in love with a person really is, rather than just attraction to their body. Which later on DOES change, which is done to show how betrayed denji feels, since for the first time, he truly felt love just for it to be overridden by reze’s later sexual appearance and for his relationship with her to simply feel like another h-rny outrage. This isnt great since denji, never knowing or ever feeling love, he always mistakes his yearn for affection as sexual desire rather than simple human connection, which is how makima manipulates him so easily. This is just my take though, its been a while since i’ve read the bomb girl arc 4:36 also the high angle it meant to dramatically emphasise kobeni’s withdrawal, as the viewer looks down on her making her appear small and insignificant compared to the later panel of reze, who’s simply standing upright, indicating a power difference. Although the anime does it more successfully, its much more complex to illustrate so fujimoto (on a time crunch) took the easier option or just didn’t consider it. Kobeni was most definitely not being sexualised though, i dont see how you even saw that but its normal for girls to have a backside. She was simply bowing down at a high angle, there were numerous ways she could’ve been sexualised in that scene but she wasn’t, most of her character is really about not wanting to be sexualised, she’d rather risk her life and die than become a pr-stitute. So its kinda weird you saw it that way.. Holy shit i wrote a lot

We already have the English VA for Reze announced a long time ago, so there is a chance that the English dub has been in the works alongside the Japanese version - leading to a chance that the international release won't be too far behind the domestic release.

I just hope they do season 2 justice. I'm talking Shibuya arc type of treatment. To me, the movie is where the story actually starts and begins moving into high-gear. I was so sad that season 1 was only 12 episodes as all of that is pretty much only introductions and world-building and the plot had barely even begun, and yet now all the anime only's think they know the gist of CSM and I just want to scream from the rooftops "YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET". The only difference between season 2 of CSM and JJK is that the momentum of the plot in CSM doesn't take any breaks. After season 2, things only get more bad-shit insane all the way up to the end of part 1. But with MAPPA picking up nearly every single big manga, we'll be lucky to see season 2 by 2030. And then we'll MAYBE have season 3 by 2035. Sometimes I hate being a manga reader.

@@itscat2.0 I think it's more so the fact that they drew a LOT of inspiration from western directing styles, which gave it a more "grounded" feel to it. I, personally, loved the direction of season 1 as it made it standout from a lot of other anime. Also a lot of people seem to think the art-style/direction of the movie will carry over into season 2, but this is a movie where they don't have to worry about budget, so I'm interested in seeing what season 2 will REALLY look like with budget constraints.

@aechmea28552 күн бұрын
@@JustAsh001 I wouldn't say that. It's two different mediums that use different ways to convey emotions and atmosphere. While season one was a good adaptation imo, it was a very different view of the manga and didn't improve it in any means. The anime is a lot more dramatic and has a lot cleaner approach than the wacky dirty feeling the manga has. The manga has a very unique atmosphere that feels realistic and uninged at the same time. I certainly laught reading the manga while the anime only made me smile. On the other hand, the depiction of the events in the anime saddened me a lot more than when I was reading the manga. You can state that certain scenes have more impact in the anime, but the experience overall is too different to compare those two.

@aechmea2855Күн бұрын
@hotpufff123 I woudn't say that either, the panneling of CSM is so good which cannot be replicated in animation. I personnaly love CSM messy artstyle more than I love the result of the anime visuals, it's pretty I'm not gonna say otherwise but not better. The power the art of Reze arc has with black, gray and white only is still better to me (the pannel were the bomb devil holds two heads is so good for example, just her with Aki below calling her monster). I rarely like an adaptation better than the manga so it's to be expected lol. Of course colors gives something different to a story but black and white still pictures can have more impact and be more appreciated. In the next arc no matter how Quanxi action first scene is adaptated, I doubt I'll prefer the anime version because the manga pannels are so iconic. Same for the darkness devil intro. And I personnaly love his artstyle and the way he makes his details, his drawing habits etc.

While the trailer was really impressive, no. They didn't "improve" the manga. They're adapting the manga really good but they're not comparable. You could say this for Ufotable's adaptation with DS becaues its source material isn't really that great. But with Fujimoto's case it's different.

Manga accuracy is something lazy anime directors rely on. Anime should stand out as a unique and beautiful experience on its own.
@Coolgame68122 күн бұрын
THISSSSS. A perfect example that comes to mind is AOT season 4. Sure, the animation came out fine but it was just a 1 to 1 covering of the manga, whereas seasons 1-3 absolutely elevated the source material and made AOT as popular as it is today. Chainsaw man season 1 was unique as every single "quiet" moment looked stunningly cinematic and tried to replicate the shots to look like it was being filmed with an actual camera. But the Japanese fans were just not accustomed to that "grounded/western" directing style, so it went completely over their heads.
