Mapping my Clio RS to 240BHP!

Today we took Evan's Mk4 Clio RS up to Leeds to who is regarded as the UK's most reputable Renault tuners, RS Tuning. We estimated that with the ITG induction kit and straight through exhaust Evan was running, he would probably see gains up to 250bhp. The car made a healthy and strong 202bhp from stock on it's first run but we quickly noticed the 95ron fuel was restricting more gains. To anyone looking to map their car, and not just the Clio RS, we recommend ALWAYS having 97ron or above fuel in your car to maximise the power gains. We anticipate Evan's car may have reached the 250bhp mark if we had known this at the time, but you live and you learn!

Just bought a trophy rs class motors, that straight through sounds insane, currently only getting 18mpg and 150 miles on the trip from a full tank which is the only concerning thing but

Jack Kirwan That’s odd! I average 27mpg driving sensibly but with the occasional hoon or heavy accelerations during each trip, and a full tank will show 290-300miles

Hey mate! It’s a backbox delete pipe from a company called GTPerformance, they are well known for their exhausts on the Clio Mk4

The light can be switched off with a cheap obd reader. It only comes on at go to Jail speeds.

Have you had any problems with the gearbox on that model ? I have the same one but the gearbox is jerky ?

At first there were some sluggish jerky gear changes but I had the gearbox software update under warranty from Renault and it seems to have smoothed everything out now!

Hello just wondering that splitter you have on your car etc did you have to drill into the bodywork or is there existing holes under the car?

It's a Maxton Design front splitter, there is a plastic panel under the front bumper, you will feel it, you drill into this part and not the actual bumper!

It’s been over a year now and it has been incredible, no hiccups at all, nice and smooth as long as you’re following your service routine all should be good 😍

If you're tracking the car, i would recommend it, but for fast driving on country roads etc, my temps don't even get high enough to warrant one, even in the summer!

Yessir! We plugged in an OBD reader to find the fault codes and I think it was just the boost sensor reacting to extra boost and throwing up a fault code, we cleared it and it hasn't come back again, but i suspect if we do 140mph foot to the floor, it will pop up again. No limp mode though, maybe new boost pipes or a boost sensor will sort it for good!

No issues at all in 3 years of ownership, the only thing to keep your eye on is the jubilee clip on the coolant pipe which tends to rust and causes a coolant leak, bit if you put a fresh jubilee clip on it every service, there will never be a problem, minor!

Seria muito bom se no Brasil tivesse essa versão esportiva, tanto 1.6 turbo, 1.6 ou 2.0 R.S, o que temos no mercado brasileiro é apenas o "clio comum 1.0" que não chega nem perto desse modelo forte e bonito, acredito que se não fossem os covardes políticos corruptos que temos nessa nação com tantos aumentos de impostos/taxas/desvios de verbas públicas, estaríamos com modelos de carros mais interessantes assim como é no mercado europeu, sou dono de um clio 2015/2016 e tive que fazer diversas melhorias no design dele pra ficar um pouco próximo do design esportivo europeu e obviamente não fiz nada em relação ao motor fraco 1.0, pois ficaria muito caro pra mudar tantos detalhes e ter finalmente um hatch esportivo forte e bonito.
