Mapping Out a Giant Sinkhole!

We have come back to Ela Elap Sinkhole. The owner of the sinkhole is an absolute legend and a freediver himself so he has let us come back to explore the sinkhole properly and map out its depths.
What a love most about freediving sinkholes is how no two are the same. Every sinkhole has it's own little ecosystem. It's own algaes, flora and collection of fish or crabs or crayfish. They are all shaped so differently and I feel like every time I go into a new one there are always incredible surprises!

Great video. I had the awesome opportunity to meet a former Canadian freediving record holder at the last job I was on. We had a great chat and I learned a lot. I'm thinking I'll be able to afford some gear before next summer and be able to start taking the steps I need to take to do it safely. I've found a group that does it 3 hours away from me so I can link in with them and have some trained and certified dive buddies!

The willow tree fell into the sinkhole about 15 years ago. The water comes from the ground. It seeps in through the limestone :)

Can anyone help Yesterday i went out freediving with some friends and at around 8-9 meters at the corner of my right eye next to my nose started to hurt and felt like something exploded inside I went up to take a breath and took a 20 min rest Then after that i wasnt able to go down 1m without my eye hurting and wanting to explode

Hey Adam, i have noticed that i can hold my breath a lot longer in warm than in cold water. In warm water it‘s like 4-5 min and in cold water its 2 mins (while moving) what can i do? Do you have an idea what i should do? Cheers
