I heard in Argentina and around the world. People in countries where England has done criminal things cheered the first goal more than the second because they knew the first would hurt the white English hypocrits more. You cannot seperate sport from politics. With England its always going to be political because this country has wronged so many countries in the world and the white English always cry foul when someone evens the ledger a bit like Maradona did with the Hand of God.

Oh how right are you all, euro 2020 just ended, during the final after the first 20mins of the game Italy dominated England in everything (possession, shots, shots on goals etc) but they're still bitter about Chiellini pushing their player to the ground from his shirt as if it was the greatest offence ever in football and not a simple tactical foul for which Chiellini even got a yellow card 😂 Ironically they first boo a lot of other anthems, spit and burn the Italians flag, bully a German little girl online writing disgusting and inappropriate things, put a laser in the Danish goalkeeper's eyes during a penalty and fire fireworks during the night before behind the Italian players hotel in order to not make them sleep. They do all this and other things yet they also have the nerve to call others like Argentinian cheaters and savages, even going as far as to say "to play football and to not act like animals" They should get other dozens of goals like La Mano de dios 😂 ❤️

It's interesting to see how people love Diego in countries like India, Bangladesh, most of Africa and some very distant places that have no link to Argentina. That's because many of them share a colonial past with Great Britain, this was seen as the biggest act of poetic justice through football in history. Wherever there's a demonstration or a riot there will be a flag with Diego's face on it, he was the revenge of the poor. And he did it coming from nothing, that's why many people will never forgive him. It was the fact that he was poor but spoke his mind, they couldn't own him. That's why in Argentina we respect Pelé football wise but feel Diego was the greatest, cause Pelé came from poverty and ended up as a posterboy for the establishment.

100% correct. Brazil and West Indies are seen as Uncle Toms of football and cricket. 90% football fans supported Argentina in WC final. Because they didn’t win it fo 36 years, it was last WC of Messi. But also France were defending champions, and they insulted muslims, lapdog of USA etc. They cherish secularism, but they gave shelter to Khomeini. They are still giving shelter to far right Bangladeshi youtubers. Their football team is literary best of Africa. Now even Africans hate them. Because they are still colonizing and exploiting Africa on behalf of USA.

You tried to colonize or conquer our main land and failed, THREE TIMES. At this time tho, i don't even care if they're ours or not...but sure hell they should be taken away from england. It's sad to see Copa90 spread complete lies about the history of the Falkland Islands. The Islands have never considered to be a part of Argentina, and were only ever under the control of Buenos Aires for that brief period in the 80s. The first recorded landing on the Islands was made by the Englishman John Strong in 1690, and the first settlements were founded by the French and the English in 1764 & 1766 respectively. France conceded it's portion to Spain, and the British abandoned the islands temporarily, so they were nominally under Spanish colonial control. By the 1830s there we no permanent residents on the islands. When the Scotsman Matthew Brisbane arrived to restore business and order to the Falklands, some nomadic Argentinian Gauchos under his own employment murdered him and four others. In January 1834, the British ship HMS Challenger arrived in the islands, bringing Lt. Henry Smith, who set out to capture the murderers, who managed to escape back to the mainland. The British encouraged colonization to the islands, and in 1840, the Falklands became a Crown colony, and Scottish settlers subsequently established an official pastoral community. The Argentine government at the time protested Britain's actions, but did not assert their claim. They only did so when President Peron was facing dissent at home, and again in the 80s, when the Military Junta was struggling to maintain control. We all know how well that particular conflict went. With a population of ~3,000, in a recent referendum, only 3 Falklanders did not wish for the Islands to remain a British territory. The Islanders, the United Kingdom, and the rest of the world outside of Argentina are able to see the blunt truth of the matter; The Falkland Islands are British, and they shall forever remain so.

It's just silly because Maradona was the best player in the world, but he still deemed it necessary to cheat. He didn't have to cheat to score, but he still cheated and blatantly mislead the referee. It adds spices to the game, but any attempt to protect Maradona is ludicrous because it's just blatant cheating when he didn't have to. This is quite interesting in that it highlights difference between the European and the Spanish speaking sphere attitude towards football. While Barcelona vs Real, Boca Juniors vs River Plate shows the inseparable nature of politics and football, Western European deem sport as something more gentlemanly, putting aside all political to focus on the game. The fabled football match during the Christmas truce symbolize this best.

Let's all remember that it's the Referee and his assistants who control the game and make the decisions so if its correct or not it stands.. In the 1966 finals England were awarded a goal that did not score but the linesman said it was a goal against West Gremany. So why all the fuss. The best team that year won the World Cup.

Why fo you side the argentinians here? You're making the brittish sound like "the bad guys". The Falkland islands belongs to the UK and the population showed that in the referendum. The UK only defended their territory. Just like Argentina would have done if some country invaded their land!

Maradona was such a rare phenomena of football. He played the game with so much passion and he will forever be in the hearts of all football lovers. Legends never die, but their spirit lives on through those they inspire. Ecclesiastes 12:7 And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. Fly high, Diego Armando Maradona 🕊 🙏🏾

I've always said as an Englishman regardless of the hand of god goal. Maradona is the greatest footballer after Pele...Not even messi is in Maradona's league...But he will always divide the world of football more than any other footballer past and present..

Maradona es ídolo xq siempre defendió la camiseta argentina sin importarle nada ni que digan de el, y les devolvió un poco de tristeza a los ingleses al perder asi, como ellos hundieron el Belgrano piratas

No. He scores a handball without the ref realizing it, and then scores a goal starting from the midfield, dribbling his way through half the English team. That is when he becomes the greatest.
