Some really underwhelm the effect Maradona has on football, although Diego Maradona may not be as decorated like Messi,Ronaldo etc or he may not be as prolific in the number of goal contributions as other players but he changed the whole dynamics of Napoli and Argentina in the football world, he is a part of the both the team's history and respective places because El pibe de oro is a different breed altogether.

He was such a Unique & Unbeliavable player. We used to get breathless feeling that we would have a heart attack everytime he got the ball in a game. No other player in the history of soccer had the same impact on people. There have been many star players, but he was the Super Star. I don't know how else I can explain it. Can anybody imagine what type of player he could be, if he played nowadays with the latest rules of the game, being protected against those killer fauls by the referees and with the new training and nutrition technics and living as a professional athlete ?
