Great Review, Thanks. Maratac watches are primarily made for government and contractors to equip their personnel. We are lucky that they offer overruns or planned extra production to the rest of us. I own their Maratac Pilot Swiss Quartz watch and can say that it is durable and very high quality. Also for the price these watches are awesome bargains. The only downside is limited availability, as when they go out of stock. it may be months or years until another run is available for sale to the public. For reference, I used to own a Rolex Submariner is the distant past, great heavy watch and expensive to service. The problem was, for me, everytime I banged the watch against something, I cringed, with every dent or nick. I bought mine when Reagan was president for $1,500, so 37 years later, getting something that performs just as good for only, $299 is like stealing. I'm a one watch guy and status and named brands means nothing to me, I want reliability and performance, period. I know a lot of people always ask, "Hey, why no tritium in the dial for additional illumination." The reason is very simple; in many environments, you are not allowed to have anything that is radioactive, like tritium gas. Doesn't apply to the average user who is not going to be near a nuclear power plant, aboard a submarine, in a lab at Area XX (edit: number redacted), etc. For most applications, super-luminova works great and you can always recharge it with a flashlight, if needed. For $299, this is a steal, but don't wait or they will be gone.

Just picked one of these up and put on a black leather band with contrast orange stitching. What a handsome watch this is. It's actually a bit thinner than my OMEGA SMP Chrono, but it looks a bit thicker because it has a block-y shape and a slightly smaller case size. The time keeping my SR-35 isn't the best, but it runs fast, which means adjusting time is just a matter of pulling out the second hand and waiting.

Very nice review. I just received my watch this past Saturday. First purchase from CountyComm. The customer service is excellent, Mike rules and he gives it that personal touch that makes these small brands all the more worth owning. The watch is very well made, quality all around, your opinion on the bezel is spot on, smooth as silk. I was actually pretty surprised at how much you get for the money when it hit me; this is a small company with quality products that takes the revenue brought in and reinvests it back into the product line to make an even better product and supporting it with great customer service and excellent quality control. This may be my first watch from these guys but it certainly will not be my last. One last thing, the LUME is awesome but it is very bright, if you are special ops, do not wear this watch because if you do, you just put a target on your back for the enemy. That is the only negative to the LUME, as for me, I leave it by my bedside, light it up, turn off the light and count LUME versus sheep to go to sleep. Again, thanks for your review.................

I thought the same and it's more about the position of the lugs and the band. The watches don't feel thick and I have a same wrist, anything over 40mm looks to big on me. I also like the one piece band, so in the unlikely event that a spring bar does fail, the watch is will not be lost.

This watch would be pretty much perfect if they had left the pressure rating off. If you own the watch, why the hell does wr10atm have to be on the dial? Just the logo would have made it clean.

I have this watch for sale if you’re interested in it. It is brand new, never worn other than to try on. It was too small for my giant arm. By the time my wife gifted it to me, County Comm wouldn’t let us return it. $250. I can send photos and or a video of it running if you’re interested.

I'm surprised! CountyComm has NO watches available today, July 12, 2018, 1:52pm. I've never seen them without at least one watch model available. I like the Maratac watches very much. Great customer service per my years of dealing with CountyComm. Nice/interesting selection of EDC items too.

Nice watch but I keep seeing their site claiming to sell limited edition watches, 250 of this model and 100 of the Black DLC and once they sell out, a few weeks later there are more listed. I think at this point the 250 has gone to 750 for this model and the Black DLC is up to at least 200. Again nice watches but they are expensive given the fact that they are not Swiss made and not limited edition as stated. If they were, they would be numbered. Just thought this was worth mentioning because while their customers of whom I am one, continue to support them, we are all getting a little frustrated at being sold something that is not what it is claimed to be and more and more buyers are talking about this on the watch forums. The seller is a nice guy as other people have mentioned here but he needs to stop making people think that they are getting a limited edition item when many more are produced with additional runs. Other than that, I like the models that I have purchased and the customer service is excellent.

It's funny you say that. My Pilot model is sterile and only has a small cage code on the side, not visible while wearing. I have had a lot of folks approach me and say, "Hey nice watch". Every single time, its current or former military guys and they have or were issued/purchased Maratac watches. Now I live in Arizona and we have tons of contractors, shooters and military veterans around here. I know some people are brand/label focused, but having no label and no brand is a focus for many. I have met a lot of interesting folks.
