@rayanrahmani98384 жыл бұрын
they keep the title to a certain amount of words, and “Marathon Champion” is going to get more interest than her name (which a lot laypeople don’t know). You can see her name throughout the video, not everything’s DiSrEsPeCtFuL
@Paralelepifart3 жыл бұрын
in most sports the people watching dont usually play them. like football, basketball, mma, etc. they actually enjoywatching the game more than playing it and so they know the players. running is a rare one where most of the people running dont watch related sports cause they do it just to be healthy and improving themselves, but actually find it quite boring. so of course most people interested in the topic are not gonna know who she is, therefore the title. for example Im glad I watched the video, but if it was just her name I wouldnt have clicked. im just a simple mortal that runs 5km every other day

With regards to the hydration question, when I was a runner in high school, we used to have straps that could go around our waterbottles and sort of holster them to our hands while we ran so that we didn't drop them. It only works with Gatorade bottles or ones that require you to squeeze them when you take a sip, so don't go trying it with a CamelBak. That could also be a helpful option for anyone in or getting into distance running.

Not a runner but I’ve been thinking of getting started. I suspect KZbin can read my thoughts cause I don’t recall ever searching for anything related to running on Google or KZbin. Anyway, I had no idea who she was. Video description tells you nothing. Had to read comments to find out she’s an Olympian and a Boston Marathon champ. Feel like I learnt something, and I feel inspired to start. Thanks for the advice, lady.

At 6:07 the commenter asks what do people do to pass time when they run long distance? This attitude NON-RUNNERS have is really annoying. If you have to be distracted when doing an activity to get it done then you OBVIOUSLY don't have a passion for that activity and should find an activity you enjoy. Running long distance isn't for everyone. I am by no means a gifted runner. But I have been running on my own for over 30 years and I love running. I don't need any distractions when I run. I don't even listen to music. I just get lost in the moment. I get lost in the activity and my goal every time I run is to reach that magical state of flow. When you reach that state of flow you feel good and it is the precursor to the runners high.

Why isn't her name in the title? It's done for other people on this channel (all males)...🙄

Maybe bad luck, my recommendation shows "Accent Expert explains similarities..." "Forensics Expert" and "Disease Expert" which are all men, unnamed. It looks like the problem might be that Wired chooses more men for these than women.

@@TheDJLiquify Might just depend on how famous the individual is, whether their name would provide some recognition. Nicole Stott is named in her video.
