I recently received those sweet Rollerblade Maxxum Edge 125 3WD skates not only to review but to train for a marathon. That's right, your boy is going to go the distance and today is day one of training. My goal is to skate an extra 1-2 miles each week until I hit 26.22 miles by the end of this summer/early fall. Will I be able to do it? I don't know. Stick around and find out!
Big thanks to ‪@AuthenticRollerblade‬

Love this short series you did for this. My wife and I started our training for the event this year in 2024. It has been a long time since we street skated. We both have a long way to go and a short time to get there. Love your channel and hoping for more content soon. It helps keep us motivated to skate. We are both pushing 50 and still using skating as a way to stay active.

Good job, B! Glad to see you rolling again. I have some 3x110’s with a longer frame and they are great for longer distances. I've had one day where I woke up after finding the skate that works comfort wise w/o alot of expierience on distances, took a good look in the mirror and I was like I'm gonna skate a marathon w/o planning the route. So few minutes later I was rolling on old Seba CJ Carbons with Kizer Powerblading Frame and 76mm wheels, it took me 3 hours and a lot of lower back strain but I did it but I needed like 38 minutes of brake time here and there to relief my back.

I bought 125 frames and wheels for my Powerslide skates because 125s looked like so much fun and got the slightly shorter frames (255mm) than what yours are. Was worried about agility and height, but was happily surprised by how easy it was to go from 110s to 125s. They are actually quite agile, quick, and smooth. I seem to get more out of each stride. Anyway, great video.

Love the rant, agree with you on the filming and editing aspects. Follow-cam DSLR is the pinnacle. Action cams encourage people to wave a camera around with little thought to the editing work-flow or what the audience would actually want to watch. Appreciate the effort you put in, I stopped filming to focus on skating a while back so I know how much work it is. Keep at it, build up to 90 minute then 2 hour sessions - maybe drive to a long, flat dedicated trail so you can focus on your stride. Stop-start / narrow paths / hill management will exhaust you!

Dude! Nice job with the endurance 💪 I just started using an Insta360 GO 2. I have version 1 also, but don’t use it as often. The image Quality got a lot better, and it has replaceable lens covers. The downside is it shoots in 2K but you can export in 16 x 9 or 9 x 16 which is super cool for Instagram stories. The mic on it is really good too. It would be great to use in a marathon. The battery life isn’t great, but the case/remote it comes with recharges it like AirPods. Edit: you can record/charge while it’s in the case too 👍

Ya dude if you have found a groove for your videos don't switch it up until you have a really good reason to.
