A first look at my 2022 Polaris Ranger 1000 XP Trail Boss Northstar Edition prior to my delivery. Joe I'm nervous about this Ranger, it seems so much smaller than the Defender. But the maintenance should be much easier and Polaris leads the market in technology. Sad day losing 13 soldiers days away from returning home...thank you for your service!

Wow, very nice when I was a golf course fleet manager we all ways ordered our Toro or Kubota utility vehicles with the hydraulic dump bed. Definitely the must have option when it's available.

There is an option for an electric dump...it's pricing but maybe in the future. Thank you for always commenting!

Well Peter I'm glad you are finally done with those "canned hams". Nice machine. I like those A arms too. Should have plenty of ground clearance for what you will be doing. I considered the trail boss but decided on a 2022 sunset red XP 1000 Premium instead . No build date yet so maybe April. See you on the trail. Merry Christmas.

Awesome machine , I wanted one of these but didn't want to wait 6 to 9 months 😢. Found a 2022 General XP1000 on the lot so I bought it. Thanks for sharing 👍

Nice machine! I almost wish I had gone with a NorthStar Trail Boss. We just picked up our NorthStar Ultimate in Sunset Red. I had to wait until the end of March but ordered it in late August 2021! Also, sometime in January, Polaris sent out notices that Ride Command was not going to be included because of the "global chip shortage". They gave three choices, cancel the order, get it without ride command, or wait indefinitely. I chose to go without. Interestingly, if you check the Polaris website now, it gives an option for an Ultimate with or without Ride Command. Guess I'll look at adding later - and, yes, they did give a rebate and price reduction for not including Ride Command. Anyway, nice Ranger you've got there, enjoy!

Polaris is the best with deduct money or incentive certificates. The ride command app for you phone is excellent, I highly recommend getting it as it is outstanding and will hold you over. I think Joe @ kapper outdoors has a red ultimate you should checkout his channel that's a great color. This I would really want for plowing in the winter. Though my 570 X2 Nordic does the job quite well, it has no cabin to insulate me from the large amounts of sideways wind, snow (slushy snow as well) when plowing snow. Also it is easier to get inside of, compared to getting on a 570 X2 atv. Too bad such vehicles, as the Ranger, costs about the price of a new car, if you deck it out with such doors and windows. So I will probably be using my 570 x2 for many winters ahead, and an ordinary, but belted, snow blower (Honda) as a backup, or to throw snow further to the side than I can by plowing the snow.

Nothing wrong with your thinking...but the Defender Cab is my wife's favorite yard vehicle. You're smart save your money. BTW they should have he same warranty as cars as they cost as much. Merry Christmas

Great video bud! I am waiting for my version of this in the Crew.... Was told March, but hoping I get a surprise call for an earlier delivery haha.... Do you know if this machine stock would fit 31" tires below it? I will be selling my take-offs for that, but would prefer not to put a lift on it.

Oh boy...My gut is it would take 30" maybe 31" I've been debating mounting the 32". I would take careful measurements. Great question you read my mind. I how your machine comes soon, Merry Christmas

hi can i ask you a favor i have this same machine on order can you measure the total height need to know if it will fit in my trailer polaris says 79 1/2

Joe mine looks like 78.5" maybe even 78". I'd recommend measuring yourself to be sure. I tried to help good luck.

When do you make the leap for a General?

General is a great machine which keeps getting better. Ranger Northstar is for my property, RZR Pro and Trail are for off road. In the future if I only had one machine maybe the general is the machine. Merry Christmas

Pat they're very easy to put a plow on...get this it you can program the plow to raise when shifting to reverse and lower when you shift to low. Merry Christmas
