u can't have 2 inexperienced strikers leading a club like Barca, you have to have someone experienced but he should have went on a loan to a club like Girona maybe and come back when Lewa is out of contract, but money was in his head for sure, he's gonna get paid big $ for sitting on bench and that's the problem with these young guns, they care only about getting that paycheck and not playing, many many talents ruined because of that

But let's be honest, there were times Barca need to take out Lewa, but didn't. Even Xavi want to loaned out Roque. And with Flick even if he had a chance, he was not going to get minutes to develop, with the coach that had some history with Lewa. It is completely different from Moriba, because he was kind of a starter in the team already.

Worry not Barca fans. Jordi Mboula to Monaco, Servio Gomez to Dortmund, Ilaix Moriba to RB Leipzig, Iker Bravo to Bayern Leverkusen, and Mateu Morey to Dortmund are a few Barca youth players left the team in recent years to other clubs but never became world-class players. I'm personally not worried - they only a few youth players who left Barca and became successful were Fabregas, Pique and recently Dami Olmo so, y’all should relax.

well, chelsea have a weird habit of signing players from barcelona who go on to be successful, so maybe this will be another one. If I was a player, I probably wouldn't want to go to chelsea with their situation and recent performances. At the same time, if I was in Guiu's position, this move would be a low risk, potentially high reward decision so I really don't blame him at all. In My Opinion he made a good choice moving to Chelsea. Reasons I say that :-1.He is not a first choice at Barca, 2. Barcas fragile finances. 3. Most likely Barca will sell him to who they want to make money and Chelsea or club like Chelsea may never come calling for him again 4. He may have chance to play but here he will only play Copa Del Ray or low priority games if that. He is not the first one to leave the club and will not be the last if Barca can’t fix problems Barca currently facing Financial, lack of leadership and transparency.

TBH I think its more about the money than some project, first of all Chelsea has got plenty of strikers so he wont play that much (Sure they will give him a few chances at first, to see exactly what they got), but I dont see him playing that much, secondly Chelsea is not known that much for player development, but what Chelsea does do is offer nice amounts of money. But on the other hand, I didnt see him as a Barca first team player either, so I dont think Barca lost some phenomenon, just a couple more millions sometime down the road, could had sold him for higher price, but other than that.........

Barcelona do not value their academy players that much. Barcelona need to learn a lot from Madrid and Chelsea and Man City in this regard. The economic situation at the club is NOT an excuse, Deco and Laporta had ample time to renew him if they really wanted. Personally, I value Marc Guiu a lot and will prefer he stayed in Barcelona. Barcelona didn't do much to convince him to stay.

Would say only thing I did not like about this transfer was going with a release clause. He could have made more like how a barca bench player and one of the upcoming young striker go for 6 million while other similar profile go none less than 30 million and even if he leave and shine could atleast left for free and a good buyback or a sell on percentage clause would be something that helped barca financially as this 6 million would be of no use.
