"Dolly Parton's" I Will Always Love You" has become one of my favorite songs to perform live -- and doing it in the style of Whitney Houston just feels right to me.
It occurred to me a few days ago that I've never made a proper "studio" version of this song, so I did!
Hope you enjoy it.

I agree completely. I was first introduced to Marc since he was known for having a Freddie-like voice. And yes, his voice is very similar, but that is not the reason why he's a great singer. I've only recently been listening to him, and he's now one of the best vocalists in my opinion.

Marc is so much more than a Mercury sound alike. His voice is similar to Freddie and he makes it even more so, but he is a talented singer whose natural voice is gold. This rendition is incredible. As much as I wish Queen would put him up front (sorry Adam) I love hearing him do his own thing. He deserves much more recognition.

Good grief, what a voice! It sounds like Dolly Parton's original, but yet it's not. It's lean, stripped down, no bombastic vocals, but he inserts subtle pitch changes that totally change the sound. It's not Dolly, it's not Whitney, it's definitely Marc. Beautiful interpretation.

Absolutely amazing! Your transition between full voice, mid voice, and falsetto is flawless every time. I grew up idolizing Steve Perry, Freddie Mercury, and Sebastian Bach, and you are the rare breed of vocalist that deserves his place among the greats. Your ability to take on multiple genres with your own signature vocal style is truly unique. Most great vocalists fit nicely into their preferred genre, but you sir are a freak of nature. You sing everything from Queen, to Whitney Houston, to Nessun Dorma, and you do so beautifully every time. G-d has truly blessed you with the most amazing vocal cords, and I pray He blesses you with everything you could desire. It’s rare, indeed, for someone to take His blessings and use them as fully and as masterfully as you have, all while being a blessing to others. You are a wonderful role mode, Mr. Martel, and I pray you get all of the fulfillment you could ever desire out of life.

With a little research we will discover that the Music Industrial Complex is actually more destructive that what its worth unless people are willing to sell the soul to satin, both Hollywood and the music industries are corrupt and evil to the core, many well deserved artist and creators go in unknowingly getting into something very difficult to get out from once they sell their soul, if we study Michael Jackson, Whitney Huston ad many others you will quickly discover the truth. we often put these musicians on a pedestal because their in the so called MSM, but we don't see bhind the scenes is the destruction. so, it's a trap in many but not all cases, but take a look, an honest look and you too will discover the ugly truth. its not all what it appears on the surface, many hidden agendas, sure you can sell millions of records but at what cost for temporary gains, I say temporary because once an artist discovers the real agenda, and you attempt to out them, your dead. (87end) again look into Jackson and Houston. (87) is code for being subsided.

This is such an iconic Whitney Houston song I never realised it was a Dolly Parton cover. Same with Mariah Carey's Without You and Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah. Covers that became way more famous than the originals. Maybe in 2030 kids will say "hey, did you know Marc Martel's Bohemian Rhapsody is actually a cover of a song written by a British indie bad called Queen?" 😂

I'm sorry for all Dolly Parton Fans... But Marcs version is waaaaay better than Dolly's Version!? She couldn't sing this song so good and excellent like Marc did!! Even Whitney Houston couldn't sing this song so magical like Marc!! Don't get me wrong...Whitney's Version is also better than Dolly's!? Whitney was a really really good singer...no question!! But I think when a Man sings this song, it sounds way better!! Marc's range is unbelievable...there wasn't one wrong note...even the really high notes he sings like it's nothing!!! Great job Marc!! You are not longer only a Freddie impersonater (copy, I don't know if "impersonater is the right word, English is not my mother tongue, so I'm sorry if it's not the right word) for me... You are Marc Martel!! One of the best Singers we have on this planet and you should have at least 20 million subs on KZbin!! You are so talented... It's crazy that you have "only" 1.million subs... Even Allie Sherlock have 5 million subs... Again, don't get me wrong, Allie is one of the talented women singers right now, and I love her and her voice!! And she's only 16 right now...and she only makes music for 3-4 years!! It's crazy!! But I don't think, that she is better than Marc...if you compare Marc's Cover of this Song with Allies you would agree that Marc's version is waaaay better!! We all should be grateful, that we living in a time where we have such great musicians like Marc or Allie... Or even Cuan Durkin!! (he is only 17 or 18 right now, and is such a great musician... He can play guitar, he can play piano and he is such a great singer too!!) and we should be grateful, for having platforms like KZbin or Facebook were we can listen to this talented people!!

Talking bullshit when you say Dolly didn't sing this song so good. Dolly didn't sing this like it was a vocal gymnastics demonstration the way it has been a since Whitney covered it. What makes Dolly's version Superior and special above others is her conviction and believability. For example! listening to the way her voice cracks in the spoken section of the 3rd verse as if she's ready to cry sells the meaning, no one else sings it with that kind of vulnerability. Unlike any other version, when Dolly sang it I believed every word she said, and for me! believability over technical chops and vocal range is THE most important thing when communicating soul, so no! you're wrong when you say Dolly didn't sing this well, she exposed her heart in that song.
